    Default HBK Farewell

all i have to say is CLASS. what a great speech...from the heart you could tell and i know that i am gonna miss HBK in the ring. Being my all time favorite, i have a bunch of memories from his career. I made this thread for any fans and thier thoughts on HBK's career and his retirement, maybe some favorite moments from him as well.

For me, i'll never forget the back to back rumbles, and the trio of matches he had with Kurt Angle, Hell in a Cell vs Taker...the list goes on. They did a great job with his farewell i think, kept it very professional and gave Shawn the much deserved air time to speak his heart. Long live HBK.

    Post your thoughts!

I loved they seemed to give him the time, same as Dreamer... But your "main event" is your show end. That hurt it, for me; I couldn't enjoy it b/c I kept waiting for a run-in, etc.

Shawn has always been a favorite of mine. Sometimes, after his matches I always thought that when he retires I'm done watching the WWE. I can't believe I feel really sad right now. I hope he does come back for a couple of matches.

Class acts by both Shawn, and Taker. I was fighting tears as Shawn said goodbye. Even though I have always favored Taker, I am sorry to see HBK go too. I suppose Taker will not be far behind to say goodbye, I dread that day and I WILL be done with WWE on that day period. It's odd because I feel like I am losing something very special. Taker was the one who got me into WWE in 94, and of course I got hooked on Shawn, and the Hitman who were conquering WWE in the mid 90s right alongside Taker. Now Shawn is gone, I guess Hitman(although Hitman seems very...different somehow nowadays) won't be seen much anymore, and Taker is the last one left besides Trips who of course will never go as long as he's happy with Steph. WWE began defining me from the time I jumped on board, and with the three main guys who got my interest gone or going I don't know what I will do with myself. It's like losing a very important sentimental thing.
I only HOPE Shawn honors his word and STAYS retired or at least off camera. That is not because I dislike Shawn it's because I hope he is above disgracing his legacy the way Flair did. Two years ago Flair was in HBKs place, but Flair's ego was just too big to be honorable. I talked to many people who lost respect for Flair for going back on his word about retiring after the big retirement ceremony he got. Somehow I think Shawn has more dignity than that, but I wish Shawn all the best in whatever future awaits him.

Goodbye Michaels about time he went. I wasn't a huge fan and I shall never forgive him for Montreal but yeah loved the Ladder match that he and Scott Hall had at WM10 EPIC match

If Kenpachi used his Bankai, Armageddon, Ragnarok, and every other form of the apocalypse would march from the depths of hell with their demonic legions of death.... then take one look at him and turn tail and run.

One of the WWE or F's best moments, no doubt. My favorite era for Shawn was when he was in the Rockers. I never understood why they were not given a real title run, as they deserved it. As a singles star, I didn't always like Shawn's character but he managed to get me to cheer for him a few times. I kind of agree that leaving the speech for RAW's end did have me wondering if there would be a run-in, and when Taker appeared I remember thinking, "What's going on now?!" But considering the occasion, I guess it was for the best. Au revoir Shawn and merci beacoup for the memories.
Professional wrestling, not Sports Entertainment. I want the 1980s to come back. Best time ever to be a pro wrestling fan. WWF, NWA/JCP, AWA, WCCW, what more could you ask for?

SummerSlam 2002 HBK vx HHH is my favorite match of all time

Why did an old fart like Flair got more people saying goodby to him than Shawn ?
    I dont get it.

shawn was a great wrestler had awesome matches and i loved his entire career. ill miss him so much and i wouldent mind seeing him once in awhile like austin and rock has done but as much as id love to see him wrestle again i dont think he should as it would demean the whole segment on raw.
