Default Punk walks out on WWE.

    - As noted, CM Punk has been removed from WWE events going forward after reportedly informing Vince McMahon at Monday’s RAW that he was going home. Punk reportedly told Vince and other WWE officials this in a meeting before the show went on the air.

While Punk vs. Triple H was planned for WrestleMania XXX, word now is that Triple H will be facing Daniel Bryan in New Orleans this April.

While Punk is under contract through July, he is no longer factored into company plans. According to one source, the original script for Monday’s RAW had Punk losing to Antonio Cesaro after Kane interfered, allowing Cesaro to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. Another source denies that and says Punk was never scheduled to wrestle Monday night and was only scheduled for an in-ring promo at Kane. Punk was not backstage during RAW and was not at SmackDown last night. It’s believed that the late RAW re-write at 6pm on Monday was because Punk had just informed officials he was going home and wouldn’t be back.

Punk leaving is being described as a situation where he’s unhappy and burnt out with the overall direction of the company. There’s also a feeling among wrestlers that Punk has saved his money and just doesn’t need it any more, even the big WrestleMania payday that was coming up.

Following the Royal Rumble on Sunday, Punk’s mood was described as “pissy” but that’s not an unusual description of Punk’s demeanor backstage. One source believed that since Punk’s last goal was to work a WrestleMania main event, it may be a situation where he realized it wasn’t going to happen this year and with his WWE deal expiring in July, that may have weighed down upon him because he was so goal driven and this was one he couldn’t accomplish because of elements that were outside of his control.

Punk wrote the following on Twitter Monday:

“Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it’s pretty cool.”

WWE stopped following CM Punk on Twitter this afternoon. Considering they follow a number of discarded characters (Dr. Shelby) and WWE NXT talents who have since been released, that should tell you all you need to know.

In regard to the TMZ.com report that Batista was the reason Punk walked out, we are told by WWE sources that it was nothing to do with Batista personally and it wasn't him that caused the decision. It was more a collection of issues including burnout, injuries, a difference in what the company saw as a big push for Punk and what he felt was one (specifically working Triple H at Wrestlemania), and just an overall frustration with how he was perceived overall. It was not a case of Batista came in, so Punk walked out we are told.

Punk has needed a beak for awhile .But instead of stomping off like a child maybe he should remember Vince has made him a household name and a very wealthy man . Maybe when Punk cools off they can resolve this .

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his Q&A section of JrsBarBq.com. Here are some questions answered:

CM Punk's WWE exit and if it will upset viewers if "The Authority" continues to misuse popular talent: "You're mixing fiction w/ real life which isn't a compatible combination. No one can make all of today's fans happy."

If the door is open in WWE for Sting to come in to the company: "Door has been open for years. I assume that it still is."

Undertaker and his WrestleMania streak: "The Streak is as big an element to WrestleMania as any thing can be. Whoever fights Taker there will be in a key spot. I like the mystery and all the rampant speculation that comes with the topic. Once a decision is made as to who Taker will perform with then the next round of complaining will likely commence."

If Steve Austin will ever wrestle again: "This has been addressed dozens of times. I think that it is less than 50/50 Austin ever wrestles again. It's been over 10 years and he's moved on to other successful projects such as his podcast."

Potential talent in WWE that can become a future champion: "Anyone of several talents that are young including Roman Reigns. WWE is seemingly working diligently to facilitate young talents to get over to the next level. It's an exhausting process and many talents never make it."

Since neither WWE or Punk has officially stated that Punk is really gone from WWE, I think this might be just a work as well.

Doesn't matter if it's a work or not - Punk has been the best thing for WWE for the last 2 1/2 years (yes even better than Danil Bryan) simply because Punk did it all (cutting RAW opening promos for multiple straight weeks and keeping the intensity up!, putting on very good main events and gaining heat as he was already the main heel...)

So i hope he rests, takes his time and comes back when he's ready and goes right through the roof
