Big Japan announced that the “Saikyo Tag League 2016” will be taking place starting next month and announced the teams and split blocks as well.

16 teams will be competing in total and will be split between 4 blocks. With 2 being under the deathmatch division and the other 2 under the strong division. 4 teams will then make up each block and the league will take place throughout Sepember and October. Though a one match will be held on September 4 between Sekimoto & Okabayashi against Tsutomu Oosugi and Hercules Senga. The real first day though will be held on September 7 at the Shinkiba 1stRING with the quarter-finals scheduled for October 14 and the semi’s and final match on October 31 both of which will be at Korakuen.
