Cris Cyborg is up for the challenge of competing in the world of boxing.

Cyborg is the reigning UFC women’s featherweight title holder. This Saturday night (Dec. 30), she will defend her gold against Holly Holm. While competition has been scarce in the UFC’s young women’s 145-pound class, Cyborg has an idea for her own plans going forward.

During a recent UFC 219 conference call, Cyborg talked about going down the path Conor McGregor took in terms of diving into boxing:

“Dana knows that. I told him if I had an opportunity like McGregor to do one boxing fight, yeah I would like to do that. I love my job, I love to fight and I love to compete. I don’t want to end my career and think about why I didn’t do it. I want to do it. I must train hard and do what I have in front of me when they have an opportunity for me.”
