New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that there are currently no plans for their events to air on American television in 2020. NJPW confirmed that this includes the 2-night Wrestle Kingdom event from January 4th to 5th, 2020.

The promotion took to Twitter to confirm the news:

In response to US fan queries

There are currently no plans for TV broadcast of NJPW events in 2020 (WK14 included) in the US.

Thank you for joining us on TV so far. We invite you to join @njpwworld for all the action in 2020, LIVE and in English!https://t.co/ldAvP7y3CH#njpw

NJPW events had previously aired on AXS TV albeit on a delay. The station is focused more heavily on Impact Wrestling now, however, as Anthem Sports and Entertainment owns both companies. Anthem purchased AXS TV earlier this year and became the new broadcast home for Impact Wrestling.

NJPW events will continue to air on New Japan World live and with English commentary, however.

While no official word has been given from AXS TV on the matter, it does appear as though the relationship with New Japan which began in 2014 is now over.

NJPW also announced the formation of NJPW of American this fall.
