Rey Mysterio Finally Strikes Dominik - Match Confirmed for WWE WrestleMania 39

Rey Mysterio will deliver some fatherly punishment to his son at WrestleMania 39 after months of torment by Dominik.

At Clash at the Castle last September, Dominik turned on his father (and Edge) to join The Judgment Day.

Rey was so adamant about not facing his son, that he was moved from Raw to SmackDown in late 2022.

Despite the move to the blue brand, Rey has continued to be tormented by his son, and this week's SmackDown proved to be too much.

After Dom cost Rey his match against LA Knight, the Judgment Day member confronted his mother and sister.

Calling his own mother a "deadbeat" and his sister "stupid," this broke the camel's back for Rey, who struck his son down.

Rey also had some comments of his own, as he chastised Dominik for his comments, and confirmed that they will face off at WrestleMania 39.

Rey Mysterio Vs. Dominik Mysterio won't be the first time that family members have settled the score at WrestleMania.

In 1994, Bret Hart and Owen Hart put on a classic to open WrestleMania X, which saw Owen get the victory.

Fortunately for Bret, this was his first of two matches on the night and would end the event as WWF Champion.

While they didn't wrestle themselves, the McMahon family were at odds for WrestleMania 2000 and were part of the main event.

That match saw Triple H (with Stephanie) retain the WWF Championship against The Big Show (with Shane,) Mick Foley (with Linda,) and The Rock (with Vince.)
