Tony Khan loves to make big (sometimes huge) announcements and on Dynamite, he delivered another one. CM Punk will be on the first episode of Collision.

The mere rumor of CM Punk coming to AEW sold out the United Center and they're hoping that lightning strikes twice. As of Wednesday morning, less than 2,000 tickets remain for the June 17 show.

When Punk wasn't announced for Collision at the Warner Brothers upfronts or part of Khan's announcement on that night's Dynamite, it was unclear if he would actually be part of it. Then came the news that there was some issues with whether or not Ace Steel would be on the road with his friend.

Last week, it was reported that Khan and Punk had positive talks. Some people close to the former AEW World Champion said that Punk would be part of Collision.

Khan kept the announcement short and sweet. "I'm here to announce that AEW Collision beginning June 17 with feature CM Punk!"

While the crowd seemed mostly enthusiastic, a fan was seen booing and showing a thumbs down. The commentary team sold it as a big deal.

Danhausen tweeted photos of himself with Punk with the simple caption "CM Punk AEW Collision" with a link to buy tickets.
