All Elite Wrestling has gone through some changes this year. Several talents with the company for a few years, like Jade Cargill and Sonny Kiss, had left, and they have had new stars like Adam Copeland debut. As next year presents more uncertainty for AEW stars that could test free agency, Vice President, QT Marshall has announced he will not return in 2024.

Marshall has been open about his contract situation for a few months. Earlier this year, Fightful Select reported that he was working without a contract. However, the AEW Vice President shared in an interview on September 18 with Frank Jofo that he reached an agreement to stay with the company.

In the interview, he said, "I've always worked for AEW. I'm one of the Vice Presidents. That is a job that I have. The talent is just a second thing that I have as well. So, yes, we've made another agreement, and we'll see what happens. I'm there. I won't be going anywhere else -- except AAA and as many independent shows as I can because I'm trying to break Orange Cassidy's title defense record"

It's unclear what changed, but Marshall told his fans on Twitter that he would be moving on from the company. In the statement, he thanked AEW President Tony Khan and the rest of AEW for his time with them. He noted that his roles in the company include being an AEW Vice President, Producer, and Manager of Talent Relations.

While he announced that he was leaving, he'll still be working until the end of the year.

While Marshall thanked the company for their time together, he also explained why he was leaving. He cited that AEW's change in direction made him consider resigning.

"...The company has changed a lot since 2019 and is heading in a different direction, and I feel that it's best I do the same as we only get one chance to go All In," wrote Marshall.

While it is a blow to AEW, the company seemingly has several backstage employees who could likely fill Marshall's role. However, it is a sign of the AEW change in direction as one of the early members of the company moves on next year.
