All Elite Wrestling's Kota Ibushi hopes that fans can wait just a bit longer as he continues his recovery from a series of injuries.

On Twitter, a fan suggested that Ibushi needs to return to AEW programming to gain vengeance on The Elite. The faction of the Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada ousted Kenny Omega from its ranks earlier this year and attacked the already injured former AEW World Champion in May 2024. In his response, Ibushi shared that he is close to being fully healed but that fans will just have to wait a little bit longer.

At a Pro Wrestling NOAH event on January 1, Ibushi was transported to a hospital after injuring his ankles. The Japanese star reportedly walked into the match with a broken ankle but still wrestled the 30-minute main event against Naomichi Marufuji. This match understandably made his injury situation worse and Ibushi hasn't competed since then.

Like his Golden Lovers ally, Kenny Omega has been out of action for months due to a battle with diverticulitis. There is currently no word on when fans can expect him back in the ring, despite his segment with the Elite.

While AEW would love to have top stars like Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega around, that won't be happening until both are 100%. In the meantime, AEW's creative team will have to navigate without the two stars while sowing the seeds for a return that will hopefully come sooner rather than later.
