CM Punk goes to war against Seth "Freakin" Rollins as Raw debuts on Netflix
In one of the most highly anticipated matches in recent history, CM Punk goes head-to-head with Seth "Freakin" Rollins. The time time for taking is done. If their chaotic brawl on the Dec. 16 edition of Raw is any indication, the brutal action is just getting started. Brace yourself for the instant classic free-for-all when Monday Night Raw premieres on Netflix.
– RAW on Netflix opens with Superstars entering the arena. Seth Rollins, CM Punk, The Judgement Day and Rhea Ripley are all shown arriving at the arena.
– A video is shown on the jumbo tron highlighting the story of Pro Wrestling showcasing clips from WWE's past and present. The projector for the jumbo tron falls around the ring, revealing Triple H - who is in the center of the ring. Triple H welcomes the sold out arena to the first RAW of 2025 and the first RAW on Netflix. Triple H says the entire world is watching and to show the world who they are and to tell the world that this is the WWE and that the WWE Universe is louder than anything they've seen before. He asks if we're ready and then welcomes us to Monday Night RAW and the Netflix era. Fireworks and pyro go off and RAW on Netflix has begun!
– Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's music hits and The Rock stands in the entry way and poses for the crowd with the People's Championship Belt. He gives the belt to his daughters who are sitting in the front row.
The Rock gets on the mic and says years ago when The Rock was a pebble, he used to travel the roads with his dad and the only way to watch the WWE was to buy a ticket or watch it on Saturday morning, unlike now which is a different story. You can still buy a ticket but you can now watch it on Netflix whenever you want. The Rock rattles off his catchphrases and says he wants to give out a shout out to the Netflix guys who are in attendance and he gives a shout-out to Cody Rhodes for carrying the WWE for a year. Rhodes is shown in the audience who thanks The Rock. He tells Rhodes to tell Mama Rhodes he says hello. He also acknowledges his cousin, Roman Reigns - and OTC chants scream through the arena. The Rock says Reigns is the Tribal Chief and the Original Tribal Chief. He says the world is watching so let's get the show on the road...
– Solo Sikoa then makes his way out to the ring. Roman Reigns follows.
Tribal Combat Rules Match: Solo Sikoa vs. Roman Reigns (w/Paul Heyman)
The bell rings and the two lock up. Reigns dumps Sikoa out of the ring and follows him out there, but Sikoa sends Reigns' face bouncing off the announce desk and dumps him back inside the ring. Sikoa levels Reigns with a clothesline, but Reigns responds with one of his own and fires more of them off on him in the corner. Reigns sends Sikoa crashing back out of the ring, but the action spills back out of the ring and Sikoa sends Reigns crashing over the announce desk, then tosses the ring steps into Reigns' face.
Back from the break, Sikoa hits Reigns with a chair and cracks it across his spine. He places the chair around his neck and sets up for a Hip Attack, but Reigns moves out of the way before he can connect with the move and hits Sikoa in his midsection with the chair. He then repeatedly cracks the chair across Sikoa's spine and sends him crashing into it twice face first. He looks to use another chair to hit Sikoa with as he lays on top of the first one, but Sikoa counters with Spinning Solo on top of the first chair and goes for a pin. Reigns kicks out.
Sikoa looks to grab a table from under the ring, but Reigns levels him before he can set it up. He slides it inside the ring and sets it up, then looks to drag Sikoa into the ring. Sikoa clocks Reigns with a kendo stick, then repeatedly hits him with it and uses it to jam into Reigns' mouth in the corner. Reigns responds by powerbombing Sikoa through the table, then goes for a pin.
Tama Tonga pulls the referee out of the ring to stop his count, and Jacob Fatu blindsides Reigns. He superkicks him, then sends him crashing into the mat with an elevated DDT and follows it up with a moonsault off the top rope. Sikoa then lands a Samoan Spike on Reigns and goes for a pin, but Reigns kicks out once again.
The Bloodline looks to continue beating down Reigns, but Sami Zayn's music hits and he runs down to the ring with Jimmy Uso. The pair take out Fatu and Tama, and Zayn lands a Helluva Kick on Sikoa. Reigns then follows it up with a spear and pins Sikoa, but the referee is nowhere to be found. A second one runs down to the ring and begins a count, but Sikoa kicks out before he can complete it.
Zayn and Jimmy fly over the top rope to level Fatu and Tama, then brawl with them to the back. Kevin Owens appears out of nowhere and lands a Stunner on Reigns. Sikoa pins Reigns, but Reigns kicks out. Owens rains down right hands on Reigns, then looks to land a piledriver on him. Cody Rhodes runs down to the ring and begins brawling with Owens, then catches him with a Cody Cutter and brawls with him through the crowd. Reigns then connects with a spear on Sikoa for the win.
Winner: Roman Reigns
– After the match, Heyman kneels to Reigns and holds the Ula Fala out to him. The Rock emerges at ringside, capturing the attention of Heyman and Reigns. He asks Heyman to hand him the Ula Fala, and he does. The Rock places the Ula Fala around Reigns' neck and the two stare each other down. They then embrace one another, and Reigns holds up The One symbol.
– Backstage, we see CM Punk stretching backstage for his upcoming match.
– Jackie Redmond catches up with The New Day. Woods gets on the mic but gives it Kingston after getting boo'd. Kingston asks everyone to quiet down and says they were supposed to have a match tonight but they told Triple H that Los Angeles doesn't deserve to see them wrestle. Woods says they have bad tastes and talks trash about Kendrick Lamar and says Drake won the beef and it's 2025 and the truth gets boo'd. Woods says they're blessed to have The New Day talk to them and Jackie Redmond takes the mic away from them.
– We see celebrities and some WWE wrestlers sitting in the audience watching and some celebrating up in a skybox with drinks and food.
– John Cena then makes his way down to the ring.
He gets on the mic and says tonight is different and talks about LA showing up. Cena tells us this is the first time RAW is playing simultaneously all over the world. Cena tells the crowd that they're being seen all around the world and to make some noise. He thanks Netflix for showing the world the experience of Monday Night RAW and then thanks RAW for allowing him the honour to stand in a WWE ring for the last time. He says LA is the best place to start his farewell tour as LA has given him the opportunity to perform and he humbling says thank you. He says this year is about making moments, and everyone is asking who he will face at Wrestlemania. He lists names like Gunther, Logan Paul, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes and then asks when he will become the record breaking 17 time world champion. He wants to be honest with everyone and he doesn't see this happening. He says it's been 2446 days since he won his last match and his time is up and it's their time now. He says he has a better chance of winning an Oscar over - he'd have to win the Royal Rumble or MiTB or Elimination Chamber for that to happen. He says it's a crazy idea but maybe he can win the Royal Rumble. He says he should be in the Rumble and it's the best way to say thank you to everyone by winning the Rumble.
– A promo for Logan Paul is shown where he says he's committing to being a 100% WWE Superstar and it's the Logan Paul era.
– Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio then all make their way out to the ring. Rhea Ripley follows.
WWE Women's World Championship Match: Liv Morgan(c) (w/Raquel Rodriguez & Dominik Mysterio) vs. Rhea Ripley
The bell rings and the two begin brawling with each other. Ripley sends Morgan crashing out of the ring, but Ripley flies off the apron with a senton to level Rodriguez. Morgan responds with a hurricanrana off the apron to Ripley, then sends her crashing into the barricade and uses the ropes to continue wearing her down.
Rodriguez takes a cheap shot at Ripley before Morgan sends Ripley crashing into the mat. Ripley sends Morgan crashing into one of the turnbuckles, then sends her face crashing into the mat as she flies off the ropes. Morgan steps over Ripley, then repeatedly slaps Ripley. Ripley runs over her with a pair of clotheslines and a boot to her midsection, then sends her crashing into the mat face first and follows it up with a Full Nelson suplex. Ripley sets up for Riptide on Morgan, but Morgan escapes and connects with a Tornado DDT.
Ripley lands Riptide on Morgan and goes for a pin, but Morgan kicks out. Dominik slides Morgan her Women's World Championship, but the referee sees it and disposes of it. As she does so, Rodriguez slides a chair into the ring and Morgan uses it to land Oblivion on Ripley. Morgan goes for a pin, but Ripley kicks out.
Morgan delivers The Three Amigos to Ripley, then follows it up with a Frog Splash and goes for a pin. Ripley kicks out, then sends her crashing into the mat and follows it up with a pair of Riptides for the win.
Winner and NEW Women's World Champion: Rhea Ripley
– After the match Dominik Mysterio enters the ring and puts his arms out to hug and reconcile with Rhea Ripley. Ripley kicks him in the nuts and slams down Dom with a Riptide.
As Ripley is celebrating we here the gong ring around the arena. The Undertaker rides his motorcycle down to the ring as The American Badass. He makes a lap around the ring and then rides back to Ripley and they celebrate, high five and Taker drives away.
– Cathy Kelley is backstage waiting to talk to Adam Pearce who is chatting with Bayley. American Made interrupts Kelley's interview with Pearce and Gable says he has other people to beat and he wants the best Luchador to fight next week and Pearce says he has the perfect person.
– We then head over to Jackie Redmond chatting with The Miz. Karrion Kross and Scarlett approach Miz, where Kross makes it clear to Miz that he expects them and The Authors of Pain to take care of The Wyatt Sicks. While Miz tells Kross that he's out, Kross talks him back into joining them again.
– Jey Uso then makes his way down to the ring. Drew McIntyre follows.
Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso
Jey flies out of the ring to level McIntyre, then looks to land a second tope suicida on him. McIntyre intercepts him and connects with a chop. The pair get back inside the ring, and the bell sounds. Jey rocks McIntyre with an enzuigiri, but McIntyre fires off strikes on Jey. Jey connects with a Hip Attack on McIntyre, but McIntyre sets up for a Claymore Kick. Jey sees McIntyre coming and pins him, but McIntyre kicks out.
McIntyre lands a spinebuster on Jey, then follows it up with a powerbomb. McIntyre and Jey fire off right hands on one another, but Jey catches McIntyre with a spear and goes for a pin. McIntyre kicks out, but Jey counters into a roundhouse kick and follows it up with a pair of superkicks. McIntyre then catches Jey with a Claymore Kick and pins Jey, but Jey kicks out. McIntyre rains down right hands on Jey, then sets up for a Claymore Kick. Jey counters into a roll up on McIntyre for the win.
Winner: Jey Uso
– Jackie Redmond catches up with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. Ripley says Morgan took everything from her and she continued to take more from Ripley. Ripley says the one time Morgan didn't have help, Mami won. Priest talks about his match against Balor next week. He says next week this beef comes to an end in a street fight next week on RAW.
– Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart then appear on the entrance ramp, with Hogan thanking the fans, promoting his beer, and expressing his excitement for the Netflix premiere of "Raw".
– Seth Rollins then makes his way out to the ring. CM Punk follows.
CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins
The bell rings and Punk fires off right hands on Rollins. The action quickly spills out of the ring, and Rollins clears the announce desk. Punk flies off one of the barricades with a crossbody to level Rollins, and the two brawl in the crowd. They exchange strikes with one another, but Rollins looks to fly off the barricade in the ringside area. Punk intercepts him with a right hand to his midsection, then dumps him back inside the ring.
Rollins looks to land the Curb Stomp on Punk, but Punk avoids it and sets up for the GTS. Rollins escapes and rains down right hands on the back of Punk's head, but Punk runs over Rollins with a boot and sends him bouncing off the top rope midsection first. Punk then sends Rollins crashing into the mat.
Punk fires off strikes on Rollins, but Rollins lands a right hand on Punk's head. Punk stomps on Rollins' thigh, then delivers a step-up knee to him in the corner and whips him into the opposite one. He runs Rollins over with a pair of clotheslines, then follows it up with a twisting neckbreaker.
Rollins catches Punk with a GTS that sends Punk crashing out of the ring, but Punk returns inside and looks to land a GTS on Rollins. Rollins escapes and lands a second GTS on Punk, then goes for a pin but Punk kicks out. The action spills back out of the ring, and Rollins delivers a Pedigree to Punk on top of the announce desk. He lands a second one on him back inside the ring and goes for a pin, but Punk kicks out.
Punk and Rollins exchange right hands with one another, then teeter on the ropes. Punk slaps Rollins to send him crashing onto the mat, but Rollins joins Punk on the ropes and delivers a superplex to him. He looks to land another suplex, but Punk counters into a GTS and lands a second one on Rollins for the win.
Winner: CM Punk
– Punk celebrates in the ring as the credits roll and the show goes off the air.
