Angry WWE NXT Live Coverage - April, 29th 2025

IYO SKY comes to NXT looking for Roxanne Perez and Giulia

Women's World Champion IYO SKY is back in NXT to look for Roxanne Perez and Giulia. The Prodigy and The Beautiful Madness have terrorized Raw on back-to-back weeks, prompting the champion to come to NXT to settle the score.

    – NXT kicks off with clips from Stand and Deliver and clips from the TNA Rebellion PPV where Trick Williams shows up to attack Joe Hendry.

    – Vic Joseph, Booker T, and Corey Graves greet audiences at home as Joe Hendry makes his way down to the ring.

The TNA World Champion, Joe Hendry, opens NXT and makes his way to the ring. Hendry talks about his journey with the WWE and him fighting Randy Orton at WrestleMania as well as defending his title at the TNA PPV. He talks about being attacked by Trick Williams and how Williams just crossed the line. He says Williams isn't just entitled but much worse, he just can't stand that people are talking about Joe Hendry and not Williams. He says Williams is blaming everyone else, instead of looking within, for not being able to win the NXT title again - so he came to TNA to attack Hendry. He then calls out Trick Williams but instead The Dark State comes out and surrounds the ring. All four members maul Hendry and lay him out in the middle of the ring.

    – Ava talks to Iyo Sky backstage. Ava tells Sky she has a tag match against Roxanne Perez and Giulia but Sky still has to find a partner. Jordynne Grace comes in and offers to be Sky's partner.

    – Karmen Petrovic is backstage with Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin. Ashante "Thee" Adonis comes by and tells her not to hang out with losers and says he's gotten her a title match against Sol Ruca.

    – Lexis King then makes his way down to the ring. Ricky Saints follows.

NXT North American Championship Match: Ricky Saints (c) vs. Lexis King

King blindsides Saints from behind, and the bell sounds. Saints lands a dropkick on King off the middle rope, then fires off strikes on him and levels him with a back elbow. Saints then fires off more strikes on King and lands a belly-to-belly throw on him before hitting a dropkick on him through the middle rope.

Saints and King return inside the ring, and King lands a chop on Saints in the corner. Saints looks to suplex King into the ring from the apron, but the two men level one another with crossbodies. King ascends to the top rope and connects with a Swanton Bomb on Saints, then follows it up with a Lung Blower on him off his shoulders and levels him with a pair of clotheslines. Saints sends King crashing into the mat with a slam, then connects with a Tornado DDT and the Roshambo for the win.

Winner and STILL NXT North American Champion: Ricky Saints

    – NXT Spotlight is on The Culling. Shawn Spears tells his faction they've been coming up short. He tells them not to allow their fear to overcome them. He tells Izzi Dame to take someone's spot on the women's roster and tells Niko Vance and Brooks Jensen to rise up and be on top.

    – Tony D'Angelo then makes his way down to the ring. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo follows.

D'Angelo says he never expected Stacks to turn his back at him at Stand & Deliver, but he did expect him to have a conversation man to man. He says he keeps thinking back to when he and Stacks were kids, and how he always stepped in when Stacks needed it both at school and in the streets. He says he rewarded Stacks by giving him the opportunity to show what he could do as "The Underboss", but he also acted impulsively as part of The Family. He says Stacks waited for the right moment at Stand & Deliver to stab him in the back.

Stacks appears on the Titan Tron and says he thought about coming to the ring tonight, then tells D'Angelo that he was sick of taking orders and was becoming soft. He says he had to take the reins himself and put D'Angelo in place, then says he knows that D'Angelo is shaken now that Adriana Rizzo is in hiding and Luca Crusifino is gone. He questions if D'Angelo can trust anyone.

The security on the outside of the ring begin to attack D'Angelo at Stacks' behest, but D'Angelo takes them down.

    – Sol Ruca and Zaria walk backstage ahead of Ruca's match, next.

    – MetaFour is backstage and they talk about a reunion party. Lash Legend says they need to talk and says a lot has changed. She talks about how much they've done without Noam Dar. She talks about her lashing out and doing her own thing and for Jakara Jackson to focus on her and for Oro Mensah to be his own man. MetaFour has broken up and they all say bye to each other.

    – Back at ringside, Sol Ruca and Zaria make their way out. Karmen Petrovic and Ashante Adonis are already waiting inside.

Sol Ruca (w/ Zaria) vs. Karmen Petrovic (w/ Ashante Adonis)

The women go to lock up but Petrovic attacks Ruca with kicks. Ruca hits an X-Factor on Petrovic and it sends her out of the ring. Ruca goes for a moonsault but misses and Zaria catches her to make the save. Back in the ring, the women both dodge and counter each other's moves. Petrovic kicks Ruca some more and then punches her. Petrovic covers Ruca and Ruca kicks out. Petrovic slaps Ruca in a headlock and throws her into the corner and hits a basement dropkick followed by a drop kick and covers Ruca for a two count. Ruca takes down Petrovic with some forearms and hits a cradled stunner on Petrovic. Ruca goes for Sol Snatcher but Petrovic counters and sends Ruca out of the ring. Petrovic covers Ruca for two and Ruca covers for two. Ruca hits Sol Snatcher and covers Petrovic for the win.

    Winner: Sol Ruca

    – After the match, Adonis tries to comfort Petrovic. A frustrated Petrovic then connects with a roundhouse kick on Adonis.

    – Trick Williams then makes his way down to the ring.

Williams says he's been calling Joe Hendry's name all night long and he hasn't appeared, then says he's lucky DarkState got to Hendry before he could. He promotes his appearance on the television show "All American" as he reminisces about being in Los Angeles whilst appearing at Rebellion, then says while he's Hollywood, Hendry is local talent. He says while Hendry tries figuring out his lane in the business, he's in the same lane as The Rock and John Cena. He then addresses Oba Femi that he wants his NXT Championship back.

Ava's music hits, and she makes her way out. He says nothing will ever be enough for Williams, and he even went to another company. She questions what Williams is doing, and Williams says that while he thought he was "NXT", he realized that he was bigger than that. Ava informs Williams that there will be a Number One Contenders 25 Man Battle Royal for the NXT Championship, and says Williams will get his next title shot if he can win that.

    – Roxanne Perez and Giulia are stretching backstage. Perez tells Giulia they've buried the hatchet. Giulia says together they're unstoppable.

    – Kelly Kincaid talks to Oba Femi backstage. She asks Femi about his thoughts about Williams and the Battle Royal. Femi says it doesn't matter how many times he battles Williams he will always come out on top. The Undertaker comes by and tells Femi NXT is his yard now... for now. He says there are some guys from LFG who will be coming for Williams. Anthony Luke, Shiloh Hill and Jasper Troy appear and Femi walks away.

    – Yoshiki Inamura and Josh Briggs then make their way out to the ring. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger follow.

NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Hank & Tank (c) vs. Josh Briggs & Yokishi Inamura

Inamura and Ledger begin the action. The bell rings and Inamura levels Ledger. He fires off stomps on him, but Walker tags in and delivers a splash to Inamura in the corner. He follows it up with a Bulldog, and Ledger delivers a senton to Inamura. Ledger tags back in, and double teams on Inamura with Walker.

Briggs then tags in and double teams on Ledger with Inamura. Briggs and Ledger exchange right hands, but Inamura tags back in and levels Walker with a double back elbow. Inamura fires off alternating forearms and chops on Ledger in the corner before Briggs tags back in and hits a boot on Ledger. Inamura tags in and delivers a double bodyslam to Ledger with Briggs. Inamura lands a double chop on Ledger's spine, but Walker tags in and levels Inamura with a right hand. Walker turns Inamura inside out with a clothesline, then connects with a splash on him in the corner and sends him crashing into the top turnbuckle.

Walker tags in and flies off the ropes to level Inamura, then tags Ledger back in. Walker and Ledger deliver an assisted flapjack to Inamura, but Briggs pulls Walker out of the ring and Inamura rolls up Ledger. Ledger kicks out, but Briggs tags back in and lands a chokeslam on Ledger. Inamura tags in and delivers a Frog Splash to Ledger, then goes for a pin but Walker breaks the fall. Walker tags in and connects with an assisted over the shoulder powerslam on Briggs with Ledger's help for the win.

Winners and STILL NXT Tag Team Champions: Hank & Tank

    – No Quarter Catch Crew is backstage talking about the Battle Royal next week. Borne asks where Charlie Dempsey is - and Heights says Dempsey is pissed at Borne for teaming with Je'Von Evans. Borne says it's time to think for themselves and he's in the Battle Royal and Heights says he wants to be in it too but is afraid of what Dempsey will say or do.

    – The Dark State is overheard talking smack about Joe Hendry via audio.

    – Andre Chase is holding a Chase U class. He talks about Chase U being closed due to Ridge Holland and how he was unsure he'd ever open Chase U again. Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors come in late. Chase decides to not answer questions and says "F everything".

    – Sol Ruca and Zaria are backstage. Kelani Jordan comes in and says when she was champ she defended her title all the time, unlike Ruca. Ruca says she'll defend her title against Jordan next week and Zaria says that won't happen. Zaria tells Jordan she has to go through Zaria before she gets to Ruca.

    – Joe Hendry is backstage with medical staff. Hank & Tank come by and check up on Joe Hendry. Hank & Tank tell Hendry they want to take out Dark State for him. They all do the "Honk Honk".

    – Jordynne Grace, IYO SKY, Giulia, and Roxanne Perez then all make their way down to the ring.

Jordynne Grace and IYO SKY vs. Roxanne Perez and Giulia

The bell rings and Perez slides out of the ring. Grace and SKY surround Perez, but Giulia looks to clock SKY from behind, but SKY sees her coming and ducks out of the way. Grace dumps Perez back in the ring, and SKY delivers a Bronco Buster to her. She looks to land a bodyslam on Perez, but Giulia comes to Perez's aid.

Grace tags in and gets Perez up on one shoulder. Perez escapes and tags in Giulia. Giulia looks to roll up Grace, but Grace blocks it and levels Giulia with a shoulder tackle. Grace then gets Giulia up on her shoulders, but Perez distracts the referee as Giulia escapes. Perez then tags in and fires off stomps on Grace in the corner before hitting a Russian Leg Sweep on Grace and going for a pin. Grace kicks out.

Giulia tags in and Grace sends her crashing into Perez. She tags in SKY, and SKY lands a dropkick on Giulia. Grace tags back in and lands a strike on Giulia, then tags out to SKY. Grace gets SKY in an Electric Chair position to take down Giulia, but Perez comes to Giulia's aid.

Perez then tags in and sends SKY crashing into the middle turnbuckle face first. Giulia tags back in and stomps on the back of SKY's neck, then tags back out to Perez. SKY stomps on Perez's chest, but Giulia keeps her from making the tag. SKY fights off Giulia, but Perez clocks Grace on the apron and takes SKY down. SKY responds with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker to Perez and tags in Grace as Giulia tags in on her side.

Grace levels Giulia with a pair of back elbows and gets Perez up on her shoulders, then uses her to level Giulia and sends her crashing into the mat. Grace then delivers a double suplex to Giulia and Perez before SKY tags back in and lands a double stomp on Giulia off the top rope. She goes for a pin, but Grace sends herself and Perez crashing into the two women to break the fall.

Giulia rocks SKY with a headbutt, then tags in Perez. Perez lands a moonsault off the middle rope on SKY and pins her, but Grace breaks the fall. Giulia sends Grace crashing into the ring apron spine first, but Grace returns the favor and the two continue brawling on the outside up the ramp. Perez rolls up SKY back in the ring grabbing onto her tights, but SKY reverses the fall. Perez kicks out, and the pair continue taking turns trying to pin one another. Perez lands a thrust kick on SKY and connects with a second kick on her midsection. SKY lands a kick of her own on Perez, then follows it up with an Over The Moonsault for the win.
