They're not turning him heel, at least not right now. WWE understands how over that Hunter is and is one of the reasons why they wanted to put Edge back in the mix of the WWE Championship without eliminating Jeff Hardy. When it was just Hardy vs. Hunter with Hardy as the pseudo heel, it was actually having a reverse effect and turning Triple H heel and that is not what WWE wants at this time.

i didn't feel that way about it at all. i thought hardy was doing a pretty good job of coming off as a heel type.

Yeah, Hardy was trying to be a kind of heel but IMO the crowd seemed to cheer more for Hardy than Triple H. This may be what WWE were worried about. I would love to see Triple H go heel, I can not even remember Triple H being heel, so it must have been a long time ago lol
