Meaney among stars of new thriller

Irish actor Colm Meaney has joined Jamie Foxx, Gerard Butler and Michael Gambon in the new vigilante thriller 'Law Abiding Citizen'.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the film tells the story of a District Attorney who agrees to a plea bargain that allows the killers of a man's family to go free; the man then plots revenge against the District Attorney.

The film will begin production on 21 January in Philadelphia.
F Gary Gray ('The Italian Job') will direct.
