    Default XPW Discussion Thread

I thought since XPW is back in business I should make a discussion thread.

I know many wrestlingfans put XPW down because of what Rob Black did and because it was a bad duplicate of ECW, but XPW had some good matches in their past, and they had some great superstars.
The original LAX was founded in XPW, and they had many of the original ECW wrestlers in their roster, like Terry Funk, Sandman, Shane Douglas, Sabu, Raven, Justin Credible to mention some.

Damien Steele now runs the company and the rumours are that they are coming back at a regular basis soon.

They did have to big reunion shows in 2009 where many big stars did appear.

I can't wait to see what they pull off next. So what's your opinion? Let's discuss!

XPW's back? Didn't hear about that. I just hope Rob Black has absolutely nothing to do with it. That guy should be in jail, or maybe he already is, wouldn't surprise me.

^^ I think he is. As I said, former XPW wrestler Damien Steele has the rights to the name now.

XPW Cold Day In Hell Review by Smartmark

A video with dead XPW wrestlers was aired, including; Big Dick Dudley, Chris Candido, Kronus, Dynamite D, Pitbulls and Snuff to mention some. Appearently the first match who was a memorial Battle Royal included students of Diamond D.
Little Guido announced them, but most of them wasn't even mentioned by their name when they walked down to the ring, so I have no clue what all of them are called, but I got some of the names. (Carnage, Youth Suicide, Stepfather, Stepchild, Sexxy Chino, Doomhammer, Leroy, Joey Dynamite, Felony and Sybil)

Diamond D Fallen Angels Memorial Battle Royal; Winner Gets The First Ever XPW D-Cup Pokal

Carnage won a battle royal who in my opinion could have been better, but I guess the whole point was to let the students show themselves and to honor the fallen wrestlers of XPW.
Carnage won the match after lighting his fist on fire and clotheslining Youth Sucide outside. He was handed the Pokal who he gave to Dynamite D's mother who was in the audience.

    4/10

Miss Xtreme Contest - Hosted by Joey Ryan with Human Tornado, Angel & Babi Slymm as judges
Trina Michaels, Monica Massaro, Alana Evans, Linx & Nikki

Trina Michaels did a lapdance for Human Tornado
Alana Evans took of her bra
Moica Massaro tried to drink a beer in 5 seconds but puked
Linx got spanked in the ass with a clove wrapped in barbwire
Nikki cut a promo, telling the audience that she would never have sex for money. Therefore she was better than all of all the other contestants. Then she piledrived Linx in the middle of the ring and followed Alana all the way to the back.

Nobody won the contest, but after all the other women escaped the ring and headed backstage Vinnie Massaro awarded his wife Monica the win.

Kinda stupid segment and I really didn't see the point with it at all.

    Kaos Vs Vampiro

The match could be a bit better in my opinion, but some good back and forth action in this. Vampiro chokeslammed Kaos into a table and smashed 4 lighttubes in Kaos back, making him bleed heavily. They took the fight into the crowd and there was some back and forth action before the fight ended in the ring with Kaos knocking Vampiro out with a lariat.

    Rubber Match
    G.Q Money Vs Angel

I had expected so much more out of this match. The match started with Money coming out on the stage telling Angel that he couldn't wrestle cause he had an injury, but that he had bought some gifts since it was Angels birthday.
Angel became angry and said that Money was a coward, then he showed the audience a picture of Money dressed in a pink dress. Money became angry and went backstage.
Angel opened the presents and was excited and happy but when he opened the biggest package the package exploded in his face. Money came out together with another man dressed up like Money's character in WSX, Fabian Kaelin.
Some good wrestling in this, but really most comedy, as Angel stuck a dildo in Money's managers ass.
In the middle of the match Money suddenly dissapeared backstage and let Angel alone with his manager.
A cameraman got up on the ringapron and hit Angel in the face with his camera, revealing himself as Money.
Money pinned Angel and got the win.

Sandman w/Lizzy Valentine Vs Pogo The Clown

Not really mactch as it lasted for like 1 minute. Lizzy came out to the ring and demanded the ring to be cleaned.
Then she cut a promo, telling Pogo The Clown that he was a fat fuck and that she hated him.
Pogo came out to the ring with a shovel and Lizzy told Pogo that she had a friend that hated him even more than him.
Sandman made his way trough the audience with his trademark kendostick and a 6-pack of beer.
He got into the ring and attacked Pogo with the kendostick, smashing it into Pogo's head several times before he pulled off the White-Russian legsweep for the win. After the match he celebrated the win, drinking beer from Lizzy's breasts.

    2/10

    Tag Team Match
Khan Kussion & Homeless Jimmy Vs Raven & Johnny Webb

Funk entered the ring and announced that Sabu could not wrestle, as he had suffered an injury.
Sabu was replaced by Khan Kussion who is a student of Sabu.
Raven was great on the mic, as he put down both Funk, Khan and Jimmy, even while he wrestled he had the microphone in his hand and announced the match. Some good back and forth action and some good tablespots and use of weapons.
Sabu tried to enter the match several times, but was escorted backstage by security.
I had expected more out of this, but all in all a entertaining match.

    3-On-3 Match
Team Rev Pro (Ron Rivera, Disco Machine & Joey Ryan) Vs Team XPW (Jardi Franz, Vinnie Massaro & X-Pac)

Pac got a good pop, and came out to the DX music. He’s also developed quite a gut. The match was ok with more wrestling in any of the other matches so far. No weapons where used in this The match ended when the Vince McMahon impostor, Mr. McPhenom and former ECW star CW Anderson, who attacked X-Pac on the floor. Disco Machine won for his team by pinfall, but afterward X-Pac laid out Anderson, then gave McPhenom an X-Factor. It was a play off of the ECW-XPW brawl at Heatwave. X-Pac then got on the mic and said that he is back from the dead, then told us that he’s got two words for us. SUCK IT!

    7/10

    3-Way Dance
Luke Hawx Vs Scorpio Sky Vs Jack Evans

A great match that could have been longer in my opinion. Many spots and high flying in this as all 3 men got in some good moves. Many nearfalls and back and forth action before Hawx got the win with a submission on Sky.
No weapons where used in this match.

    8/10

    Tag Team Match
    The Gangstas Vs The Westsiders

The Westside NGZ, who were advertised as wrestling the reunited Gangstas, started off by taking on another team instead. This bout ran for several long, boring minutes, with the crowd crapping all over the weak action. Finally, the Gangstas’ music hit, and New Jack and Mustafa hit the ring with a trash can full of weapons. They cleaned house on the Westside NGZ, and that was it for the “match.” The tag team that had been wrestling the Westside NGZ tried to praise the Gangstas, but Jack and Mustafa then turned on them, and beat the guys down, both inside and outside the ring, for probably at least 10 minutes. New Jack used a fork on his opponent. The brawl spilled way into the back of the crowd, making it hard for 90 percent of the audience to see what was happening, but when it was all over, New Jack came back to the ring bleeding a gusher. He then started into an endless promo about the team’s history and how they refused to sell out to the bigger organizations. Jack ripped into both Vince McMahon, Mass-Transit, Dudley Boyz and Paul Heyman. He closed by announcing he was done in the ring and to watch your cable TV screens to see him soon. He was referring to some sort of reality series that Big Vision is shopping around.

No-Rope Barb Wire, Beds Of Mousetraps, Tables of Barbwire and Lighttubes Deathmatch For The XPW King Of The Deathmatch Title
    Supreme (c) Vs Necrobutcher

A dream match for many, but not really for me. A slow wrestling match with much brawling and slow moves.
Supreme fell into the bed of mousetraps, Necro pulled off a russian legsweep from the ringapron letting himself and Supreme fall into a table with barbwire and lighttubes. Necro chewed on a lighttube, he hit Supreme with a barbwired chair etc etc...
Supreme managed to retain his belt after he poured tacks on the canvas who Necro walked on, then he hit Necro in the head with some lighttubes for the win.

    6/10

Overall a entertaining show, but I really had expected more from a reunion show like this.
But if you are a fan of ECW and XPW, and like hardcore wrestling, I think you will be entertained nevertheless.

I'm really looking forward to watch their 10th Anniversary Show that they did in 2009. I hope it gets released on DVD soon.
