The New York Times (yes, the New York Times) featured a fun profile and interview on the one and only Abdullah The Butcher, spotlighting him as one of the oldest active pro wrestlers in the world and nailing money as his primary motivation for anything - including their interview - he does regarding pro wrestling. It's a great profile on the last of a dying breed of colorful characters in this business, the likes of which we will never, ever see again.

WMC-TV in Memphis reported that longtime wrestling personality Cory Maclin, who has pushed better budgeting as one of his main points in his push to become Shelby County Clerk, owes $900 in taxes through his old Memphis Wrestling business and $19,000 from another business, Maclin and Associates. There are also judgments against Maclin totalling $47,000, which have yet to be paid. "I don't have 25,000 in my pocket to pay those bills. If you had multiple businesses you would have unpaid taxes ntoo," Maclin told WMC. "I have made arrangements w ith the Trustee's Office to make payments on the delinquent property taxes."
