Default Who Is The Next Big Wrestler In The WWE?

Who Is The Next Big Wrestler In The WWE?

Sheamus - Undoubtedly, I hope Sheamus can have a decent run. His first reign as WWE champ was short and ineffective. He always seemed inferior to his opponents (Cena and Orton) and was the first to be eliminated from the Elimination Chamber. I hope WWE can give him a decent run with the title this time. The only issue I can see is that WWE won't do it since they don't want Cena and Orton losing clean to this guy. I think he'd get a fantastic world title reign if on Smackdown.

Drew McIntyre - At one point, Drew was supposed to be the next World champion. Labelled as The chosen one, He really improved in the ring in the recent months and the last month before his push got derailed. It's a shame as I truly think he could have been a major star. Now, he's in a team with Cody Rhodes (Who, I'm also a fan of). I want a IC and possibly world title run out of this man.

Wade Barrett - I doubt he will become the WWE champ at NOC. I honestly don't see him grabbing the belt at all. During the best weeks of Nexus, I could see him getting the belt along the way but the push seems to have halted and ever since SummerSlam, he has not been the same (In terms of being pushed).

Alberto Del Rio - I think this man will be the next big thing. He is being pushed so heavily that you can't not notice him. I am a big fan of Alberto and I enjoy his promos and his wrestling matches (His battle against Matt Hardy this past week on SD was absolutely terrific).

When answering the question "Who will be the next big thing?" I think it is undoubtedly Alberto Del Rio.

I like everything about albert del rio except his car that he drives out in, If he stops coming out in that he's definatly got my backing to be a top star, I'm also kind of hoping that he gets chavo to be his servent/accomplise saying there both huge stars in mexico and are against how they are treated by american fans.

I'm sorry but I have had enough of everyone saying wade barrett is a future star, He is boring on the mic, he's look is rubbish and his finisher is just another version of one of the naffist moves the fu/aa, whilst he is okay in the ring there are a lot of much more talented wrestlers who are not given the push and the only decent way I can see him being used is teaming up with regal (who I am a fan of) who can do the mic work for him. In my opinion nxt series 1 was a joke and all of them should be returned to fcw with the possible exception of justin gabriel and skip sheffield who have some talent in the ring and obviously daniel bryan who is deserving of a decent postion in the wwe ranks.

I'm not even going to go into sheamus as I have a strong disliking for all wrestlers who are all muscles and tall guys as 9/10 there boring in the ring. I will say though that sheamus is more entertaining than most of them.

Drew McIntyre is another superstar I like but wwe seem to have given up on him already. I used to keep an eye on him when he was on the uk independent scene as thee drew galloway and always knew he was a future star, he has no flaws as he is good on the mic, in ring, and has a good look. He also has a good looking finisher and like I have said not long before this guy should be a future world champion

and the last slot on the poll that I have not talked about is douglas williams? I could swear this guy was in tna and even in tna I don't think he should even hold the x division title, he should be back in the tag division possibly in london brawling with magnus and wolfe.

only other people who could and should be future champs in my eyes are: Kaval, john morrison (but needs to turn heel first), miz, micheal mcgullicutty, kofi kingston and cm punk who whilst has been champ before should be again

The fact that the crowd got behind Alberto Del Rio (with boos) so quickly is a sign that he will do well. I'm really impressed with him right now and deserves to get the IC Title in a few months after a length feud with someone (maybe Christian) then have him feud with Rey again if he returns to see him as champion. Then have Alberto lose the title to Rey after a few months of feuding with him then have him try a main event feud, not win the title yet, go back to the IC Title have another run then win the world title.

They just need to give him the exposure in all areas first, I personally don't like when people are pushed into the main event instantly (Sheamus).

on this list, I say Alberto Del Rio. He already has an established background, great wrestling technique, and gimmick. He also is great on the mic, and should get the IC, or US title sooner than Barrett, or Drew get the World Title. Barrett has too many established players to go through, if he was on smackdown, he'd have a much better shot, and Drew still get's no heat on him, his mic work sux. I like sheamus, he's gotten worlds better at cutting promos, he looks natural among Cena/Orton/Edge/Jericho, they just need to give him a good rivalry to truly put him over, maybe when hhh comes back

Are you mental? Aside form being a bit shaky on the mic at times Williams is a brilliant wrestler in the ring and I always think that should count for a lot more than what you can do on the mic.

From that list in WWE though Del Rio is seemingly the most talented one there overall but he won't achieve as much as Sheamus, McIntyre and possibly Barret in way of titles and main eventing.

Yes but that doesn't effect my opinions on wrestling.

I admit his chaos theory finisher is good but the problem is he is a hold style wrestler, Don't get me wrong I am a fan of this style but I am talking about the x-division.

The X division is the reason I fell in love with tna, the high flying fast paced action that always had you on the edge of the seat never knowing what would happen next was what made tna into tna and now tna's only real trace of the real x-division survives in mcmg and generation me in the tag division, I believe if tna wants to move forward it should return to the past and bring back the incredible action that people want to see.
Douglas williams is hurting the x-division and therefore tna overall as long as he is wrestling in that division.

One last thing about tna's focus, if you disagree with me and think that tna is still putting emphisis on high flying wrestlers let me ask you one question, why have rvd, aj styles, jeff hardy and many more who specialize in this style yet to take part in any specialty match of this type, Rvd has had 1 ladder match and it was against abyss? none of them have been used properly, Can you imagine how awesome a rvd ultimate X match could be, it would be sick.

Apologies as it seems I misunderstood you're post.

I agree that Williams doesn't suit the X Division style but having said that his gimmick whilst holding the title was a solid one and worked well at least.

I disagree that he should go back into tag teaming though as he's a clear talent in his own right.

What I'd like TNA to do is set itself up so you have the World title for main eventers, X division title for high flyers to make a name for themselves and they should turn the now named TV Title into more of the traditional wrestling belt.

Lethal has the X division title, when he's back from his health issues have Wolfe and Williams feud over the TV Title and have the World title hunt be between Angle, Joe, Styles, Hardy and RVD.

I agree with you on that I really wish tna would get its head on right and start haveing people challenge for the the right belt. The tv title should be used like the interconential as a steping stone for those who are gearing up for the world title why hernandez hasn't had a shot and just been left around with no story line is ridiculas he would be an awesome tv champ as thats just the slot he fills mid-upper card. I really hope dixie puts someone in charge who can just put a clear cut wrestling system in place instead of everyone running around not knowing whats happening.

think it will be sheamus, since he already have beat many of the superstars, but hope he cross the line sometime and Undertaker will set him straight
