Warners Moving Forward on 'Friday the 13th: Part II'?

After falsely reporting that Warner Bros. Pictures was out on the hunt for a F/X company to bring Jason Voorhees back to the big screen, a Friday the 13th Blog was updated with some sort confirmation that the studio is currently developing the delayed Friday the 13th: Part 2 3D, a no-brainer of a sequel considering the popularity of the character and franchise. No word on if Platinum Dunes or Paramount Pictures are involved, but in order for the franchise to carry the Friday the 13th title Paramount MUST be. Either way, I'd love to see Derek Mears return as the infamous mongoloid slasher - and for the mayhem to take place in the middle of winter, as previously rumored.
