The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Alberto Del Rio is expected to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta,GA. Del Rio's win would make him only the second heel to have won the Royal Rumble and go on to win the championship at WrestleMania. The first WWE Superstar to do this was Yokozuna in 1993 who won the Royal Rumble and then the WWE Championship from Bret Hart at Mania but lost it within seconds to Hulk Hogan.

That was obvious. I'm getting less and less interested in him the more they shove him in our faces. Wasn't even that big on him when he wasn't the Royal Rumble winner.

Only the second heel? Interesting factoid there. Would have thought there was a few more, but I guess it makes sense.

Yeah, that one's predictable. However, I always mark out a bit when someone gets the title for the first time. Should be exciting to watch.
