As we reported earlier, WWE.com was taken offline earlier today.

A Twitter user named anonnewsindo is taking credit for it going down. He wrote the following on his account, @AnonNewsIndo"

World Wrestling Entertainment Down http://www.wwe.com/ Time To HELP SYRIA By #Fr0styFr0ze #OpSyria #Anonymous

We contacted WWE and asked if there was any validity to the story and were told the following by a PR representative:

"I can confirm that the site was down and the issue was resolved in less than 45 minutes."

So, whether they were indeed hacked or not, we still can't confirm. There have been some prominent websites hacked recently, for what it's worth.
