Default Jailed Craigslist Killer Claims Responsibility for at Least 22 Murders

A woman accused of a single Craigslist murder admitted to the killing and then went on to reveal something even more horrifying: not only had she lured a man to Pennsylvania through Craigslist and killed him, she also killed "at least 22 people" in different parts of the country.

The Daily Item, a tiny paper in Sunbury, Penn. with a circulation of about 25,000, has been covering the case of 19-year-old Miranda Barbour very closely since she and her husband, 22-year-old Elytte Barbour pleaded guilty at separate court appearances in Pennsylvania to the Nov. 11 killing of 42-year-old Troy LaFerrara. Earlier this morning, the Item ran an interview with Barbour that took place in jail. During the interview, Barbour claimed responsibility not only for LaFerrara's death, but for the murders of at least 22 other people (she also claimed that she was involved with a Satanic cult).
Not the first and won't be the lack this is sickening, and its what constantly scares me away from using Craigslist and referring to Ebay more. I know it's good for local buys, but this is where people get caught up. The internet is a tricky place, and you can't establish trust over it. Sites like this should either be wiped out for security reasons, or some safer way has to be thought of.

Any of you guys on my side with siding with Ebay over Craigslist because of safety?

There will always be things like this either online or in print with a phone number or just trolling about the streets... In the end it's up to the person to decide when and where is a safe place to meet to do business. From what I heard the type of "transaction" he showed up for isn't exactly encouraged anywhere
