AEW star Jake Hager was back in action for his latest pro-MMA fight Friday night. He had his latest fight booked under the banner of the Bellator MMA promotion, where he took on Anthony Garrett in a heavyweight showdown.
The fight was ruled a no contest after As seen in the fight, Hager didn’t win but rather went to a no contest after Hager dropped Garrett with a knee strike to the groin. This led to doctors at cage-side to rule that Garrett could not return to fighting within a five minute rest period.

It was an unsatisfying finish (especially for Garrett!), but you can probably see how this could be incorporated into AEW storylines. Hager remains undefeated in MMA fighting and he’s demonstrated that he’s willing to fight dirty if necessary.

Jake Hager’s fight was featured on the main card of the Bellator 231 event on Friday night at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut that aired on DAZN.
Fellow Inner Circle members Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortiz in attendance for this fight, as was WWE legend Dave Batista
Hager beat J.W. Kiser by first-round arm-triangle choke on the main card of Bellator 214 back in January. In his second fight, he T.J. Jones by first-round arm-triangle choke at Bellator 221 on May 11th.
Since he was last seen in action inside of the cage, Hager took his talents to AEW (All Elite Wrestling) as he has signed with the promotion.
Since joining the promotion, he has been a part of The Inner Circle group that is led by AEW World Champion Chris Jericho where he serves as the enforcer.
