Penta el Zero Miedo could be joining WWE when his AEW deal expires this summer, at least if the Sports Entertainment juggernaut gets its wish.

Penta's work in AEW has caught the attention of WWE who are interested in signing the talented wrestler, Lucha Libre Online reports. Pentagon's contract with AEW is scheduled to expire between August and September of this year. At this time, he has not publicly commented on his plans for once his current All-Elite contract expires.

Pentagon, alongside his brother Rey Fenix, joined AEW in early 2019, becoming one of the first tag teams signed to the promotion. Fittingly, the pair were on the card for AEW's inaugural event, Double or Nothing, where they lost the AAA World Tag Team Titles to the Young Bucks. In AEW, the brothers are former AEW World Tag Team Champions and former AEW World Trios Champions.

It remains to be seen whether Pentagon Jr. will sign a new deal with AEW but fans won't have to wait long to see him in the ring. On this Friday's Rampage, Penta will take on The Butcher. The show's card currently stands as follows:

  • Pentagon Jr. Vs. The Butcher
  • Private Party Vs. Gates of Agony
  • The Acclaimed in Action
  • The Bang Bang Gang in Action
  • Mina Shirakawa Vs. Serena Deeb.

Pentagon won't be the only name in his team to go it alone over the next week. On the upcoming AEW Dynamite, Rey Fenix will challenge AEW International Champion Will Ospreay. The two brothers will be able to show they can wrestle as singles stars, which could happen should Pentagon jump to WWE while Fenix remains with AEW.
