The Elite have issued a challenge to 'AEW's Best' to face them in the returning Blood and Guts special next month.

This declaration came after the team of The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry interrupted a promo of the AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland on this week's episode of Dynamite.

Nicholas Jackson first discussed how some fans and roster members still underestimate them and then challenged AEW's best to face them in a Blood and Guts match.

The faction tried to get Strickland to join them as the fifth member of their team for this bout but the AEW Champion wasn't keen on the idea.

The Elite then got ready to attack Swerve but The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn made the save for the champion before the interim EVP Christopher Daniels sent everyone to the back.

Blood and Guts has traditionally been one of the most chaotic and brutal matches in the history of AEW. The first-ever Blood and Guts match took place in May 2021 where The Pinnacle defeated The Inner Circle.

AEW has since adjusted their schedule and with the introduction of several new PPV events, Blood and Guts has been moved to July. The 2023 edition of the bout which took place from TD Garden in Boston, saw The Golden Elite defeating Blackpool Combat Club with Pac and Konosuke Takeshita.

The 2024 edition of the AEW special has been confirmed to air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on July 24.
