New NXT Champion Oba Femi rules over his kingdom
The Ruler of NXT comes to claim his throne as new NXT Champion Oba Femi will appear for the first time as the top champion. What will Femi say after capturing the title by defeating then-champion Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in a Triple Threat Match at New Year’s Evil?
– We are live! The show kicks off with a video recapping the events of last week's edition of "NXT".
– Vic Joseph and Booker T greet audiences at home as Oba Femi makes his way out to the ring.
Femi says you can dread it or run from it, but destiny will always arrive and now he has as well. He says unlike other people who say that they never believed that they could do something, he always believed that he could become NXT Champion. He says "NXT" belongs to him now as he is the Ruler, then credits Trick Williams for breaking records as champion. He says Williams had a ceiling while he has no ceiling, and compares Eddy Thorpe to gum on one's shoe that won't go away. He then issues Thorpe a warning.
Tony D'Angelo's music hits and he makes his way out. He congratulates Femi on becoming NXT Champion last week, and says he was listening to what Femi had to say. He says while Femi is a former North American Champion, he currently holds the title. He then promises that he will dethrone Femi as NXT Champion to become a double champion.
Ridge Holland's music hits, and he makes his way down. He tells D'Angelo that he brought him a belated Christmas gift, and shows him a picture of himself in a Santa Claus costume after he had attacked him a few weeks ago. Thorpe then slides into the ring and delivers a dropkick to Femi's knee and follows it up with a DDT, then wraps a strap around his fist and clocks Femi with it before holding up the NXT Championship.
– Ethan Page is backstage name dropping The Rock and saying he had a moment with him. He tells Dante Chen that he can smell the jealousy off of him. Chen is choked about what Page did to Je'Von Evans. He tells Page he's gonna settle this in the ring and he'll go talk to Ava.
– Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend are show arriving to the arena earlier today. We also see Roxanne Perez and The Unholy Union walking backstage.
– Stephanie Vaquer then makes her way out to the ring. Shotzi follows.
Stephanie Vaquer vs. Shotzi
The bell rings and the two lock up. They go back and forth with one another, but Vaquer pins Shotzi. Shotzi kicks out and pins Vaquer, but Vaquer kicks out herself. Shotzi wears down Vaquer with a submission hold, then connects with a crossbody on Vaquer off the top. Vaquer whips Shotzi into the corner, then sends Shotzi's head bouncing off the mat.
Back from the break, Shotzi and Vaquer teeter on the ropes before Shotzi connects with a hurricanrana on Vaquer. She lands a few strikes on Vaquer, then goes for a pin but Vaquer kicks out. Vaquer lands a Sole Food on Shotzi, but Shotzi delivers a cannonball to Vaquer in the corner. Vaquer sends Shotzi crashing into the corner, then hits a meteora and goes for a pin. Shotzi kicks out.
Shotzi rocks Vaquer with a forearm, but Vaquer responds with one of her own. The two go back and forth, but Jacy Jayne runs down to the ring. Shotzi and Vaquer both drag Jayne into the ring to take her out with a double headbutt, but while the referee is checking on Jayne, Fallon Henley appears on the other side of the ring and hits Vaquer with her title. Shotzi then takes advantage and rolls up Vaquer for the win, not fully realizing what had happened.
Winner: Shotzi
– Backstage several of the women's roster are talking backstage. Kelani Jordan is upset she lost her chance at being champ. Zaria tells Jordan to learn from this and Cora Jade comes in and tells Jordan that she'll be champ before Jordan is again. Jordan slaps Jade and we cut to commercial.
– During the break, Stephanie Vaquer hunts for Fallon Henley. She crosses paths with Ethan Page motions for her to smile and we follow Page to ringside for his match.
– Back from the break, we head backstage and see Oba Femi request that Ava give Eddy Thorpe a shot at his NXT Championship in her office. Ava refuses, citing Thorpe's bad behaviour as the reason. Mr. Stone tries calming down Femi, but Femi grabs Stone by his jacket collar. Ava subsequently agrees to grant Femi the match as a means of getting Femi to put Stone down.
– Back at ringside, Ethan Page makes his wy down. Dante Chen follows.
Ethan Page vs. Dante Chen
Page blindsides Chen from behind prior to the match and rains down right hands on him. The bell rings and Page continues beating down Chen. He connects with a cutter on him for the win.
Winner: Ethan Page
– After the match, Page continues raining down right hands on Chen and removes one of his boots. He traps Chen's foot between the ring step and the ring post, then kicks the ring steps to target Chen's ankle and foot. Officials then run down to the ring to check on Chen as Je'Von Evans blindsides Page and fires off right and left hands on Page. Page takes down Evans with a right hand to his jaw that's been wired shut and berates him.
– Oba Femi walks backstage. Dion Lennox congratulates him and says one day he'll challenge him for the title. We see Shawn Spears talking to Adriana Rizzo. Izzy Dame comes by and tells Spears to screw off. We see Karmen Petrovic and Ashante "Thee" Adonis making up and making out.
– A superstar profile for Giulia is shown.
– Back from the break, we head backstage and see Sarah Schreiber chatting with #DIY, who make it known that they will be at ringside to watch the upcoming NXT Tag Team Championship later tonight.
– Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn then make their way out to thering. Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson are already waiting inside.
#1 Contender's Match: Meta-Girls vs. The Unholy Union
Jackson and Fyre begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Fyre connects with a chop on Jackson, but Jackson responds with one of her own and delivers an arm drag to Fyre out of the corner. She follows it up with a dropkick. Dawn and Legend tag in, and Legend whips Dawn into the corner. She connects with a splash on her and tags Jackson back in.
Jackson levels Dawn with a Sling Blade before Legend tags in and Fyre goes after her from the apron. Fyre then tags in and fires off stomps on Legend in the corner. Dawn tags in and follows suit, but Fyre tags back in and continues wearing Legend down. Jackson tags in and gets up on Legend's shoulders, but Fyre knocks her off and sends her crashing into the top turnbuckle. Dawn flies off the apron to level Jackson as Fyre connects with a hurricanrana that sends Legend out to join Jackson. She then flies again to level Legend and Jackson.
Back from the break, Legend powerbombs Fyre and goes for a pin but Dawn breaks the fall. Legend then runs over Fyre with a clothesline and levels an interfering Dawn with a bodyslam, then tags Jackson in. Jackson tags in and delivers a crossbody off Legend's shoulders to level Dawn and Fyre, then pins Fyre. Fyre kicks out, but Dawn tags in and delivers a backstabber to Dawn. Fyre then flies off the ropes and pins Jackson, but Legend sends Dawn into Fyre and Jackson to break the fall.
Dawn delivers a Codebreaker to Legend, and Fyre levels Jackson. Dawn then rocks Jackson with a roundhouse kick to her head, but Jackson sends Dawn crashing into the mat and looks tags in Legend as Fyre tags out on her side. Legend then levels Dawn with a big boot, then delivers a Full Nelson Wheelbarrow Facebuster-cutter combination with Jackson for the win.

– Backstage, Lexis King gets his plates put on his Heritage Cup and Ava congratulates him. Wren Sinclair and Charlie Dempsey come by, Demspey congratulates him and Sinclair talks about King running into Dempsey's crotch to get the win. Ava says they should have a rematch when commotion gets Ava's attention. She runs out and sees D'Angelo and Ridge Holland fighting.
– Back at ringside, Kelani Jordan makes her way out. Cora Jade follows, and we see Masha Slamovich - the TNA Knockouts Champion is in the crowd to watch this match.
Cora Jade vs. Kelani Jordan
The bell rings and Jade gets in Jordan's face. She shoves her, but Jordan responds with a shove of her own and slaps Jade. She then lands a dropkick on her and connects with an arm drag before leveling her with a back elbow and hitting a crossbody. Jade lands a dropkick on Jordan, then lands a second kick on her hamstrings and goes for a pin. Jordan kicks out.
Jordan rolls up Jade, but Jade kicks out. Jordan connects with a chop, then exchanges a few right hand with Jade and levels her twice. She follows it up with a facebuster and goes for another pin, but Jade kicks out once again. Jordan fires off stomps on Jade, but Jade rakes Jordan's eyes as the referee is distracted pulling her off of her and follows it up with a DDT for the win.
Winner: Cora Jade
– Backstage, Inamura and Briggs approach Fraxiom and say they're next for the titles. OTM pops by and say they should be asking them for a title shot as they'll be the new champs and they tell Inamura and Briggs they'll drag them through the mud. Fraxiom leaves and OTM and Briggs/Inamura start brawling.
– OTM then makes their way down to the ring. Nathan Frazer and Axiom follow.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Fraxiom (c) vs OTM
Lucien Price and Axiom begin the action. The bell rings and Axion fires off chops on Price. Frazer and Bronco Nima tag in, and Nima and Price level Frazer with a double back elbow as we see #DIY watching the action from ringside. Price tags back in, and Nima flies off the top rope to level Frazer with a boot. Price pins Frazer, but Frazer kicks out and rocks Price with an enzuigiri. Axiom tags in, and double teams on both members of OTM with Frazer. Axiom fires off a few kicks on Price, but Price intercepts one and levels Axiom with a vicious clothesline.
Back from the break, Nima wears down Axiom with a submission hold and lands a knee on his midsection. Axiom rolls up Nima, but Nima kicks out. Axiom then tags in Frazer as Price tags in on his side, and Frazer hits a DDT on Price. He rocks an interfering Nima with an enzuigiri and connects with a standing Shooting Star Press on Price, but Price levels Frazer with a spinebuster and tags Nima back in.
Price tosses Frazer over to Nima, who sends Frazer crashing into the mat face first and pins him. Axiom breaks the fall, then locks in a submission on Price as Frazer cinches in a separate one on Nima. Nima and Price power up to their feet, and Nima delivers a vertical suplex to Frazer on top of Axiom and Price to break both holds.
Nima tags in and double teams on Frazer with Price. Price then clears the announce desk and looks to send Axiom crashing through it, but Axiom gets Price on top of it as Nima pushes Frazer off the ropes back in the ring. Axiom tags in and rocks Nima with an enzuigiri, and Frazer flies off the top rope to send Price crashing through the announce desk with a crossbody. Axiom then delivers a Spanish Fly off the top to Nima and follows it up with the Golden Ratio for the win.
Winners and STILL NXT Tag Team Champions: Fraxiom
– Roxanne Perez walks backstage to the ring, we also see a car pull up and someone get out of the car...
Perez says when she became NXT Women's Champion for a second time, no one expected she would hold it for 276 days and have 9 defenses as she made history. She says all she wanted to do was make women's wrestling special and elevate the "NXT" women's division, but Giulia won't be able to take the NXT Women's Championship to the height that she was able to. She says the women's division will be lost without her, and says "NXT" doesn't deserve her.
Bayley's music hits and she makes her way down to the ring. She tells Perez that she's at a crossroads now that she's not the NXT Women's Champion, but Perez tells Bayley she didn't ask for her advice. Bayley reminds Perez that she's been asking for her advice since she was 14 years old, then says the NXT women's division will be fine without her. Perez tells Bayley that she's just like Natalya and CM Punk, then says she's just like everyone she used to look up to. Perez questions why Bayley is here, and says while Bayley set records, she broke them all. Bayley tells Perez that the biggest difference between them is that she'll be all alone while she dethrones Tiffany Stratton as WWE Women's Champion this Friday on SmackDown. Perez then clocks Bayley, and the two brawl with one another as the show goes off the air.
