Oba Femi defends the NXT Championship against Eddy Thorpe

Oba Femi defeated then-champion Trick Williams and Thorpe to win the title at New Year’s Evil in a Triple Threat Match, but Femi attacked Thorpe before the match and left him at less than 100 percent. NXT General Manager Ava did not want to give Thorpe the championship opportunity, but Femi insisted on it after The Alpha Wolf attacked him back.

We see Oba Femi and Eddy Thorpe walking.

Men's North American Championship
Tony D'Angelo versus Ridge Holland

hey lock up and go around the ring to a stalemate. Ridge with European uppercuts and Tony with a punch. Ridge with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Ridge with a side head lock. Tony with a hip toss and shoulder tackle. Tony with a side head lock take down. Tony with a flying forearm and a back body drop.

Shawn Spears walks out to the aisle and Tony D'Angelo cares more about a man not in the match than his opponent.

Tony clotheslines Ridge over the top rope to the floor. Ridge runs Tony into the apron and the ring post. Ridge wrings Tony's arm into the ring post. Tony with jabs and Ridge with a kick. Ridge sends Tony shoulder first into the turnbuckles and then he connects with a knee drop to the arm. Ridge with uppercuts to the arm followed by chops and a shoulder. Tony with a rollup for a near fall. Ridge with a kick to the shin and a take down. Ridge with an arm bar. Tony with punches but Ridge with an arm wringer for a near fall. Ridge returns to the arm bar.

Tony with punches and forearms. Tony with an Irish whip and forearms. Tony with a flying forearm and a uranage. Tony with a fisherman's suplex for a near fall. Tony with punches and Ridg punches back. Tony with another jumping forearm. Ridge gets a near fall. Rigde misses a few clotheslines and Tony wtih a spear.

Speaking of spears, Shawn Spears gets on the apron and Tony punches him. Luca and Channing move towards Spears and Brooks and Niko attack Luca and Channing.

Izzi Dame kicks Ridge and Tony with a spinebuster for the three count.

Winner: Tony D'Angelo (retains championship)


Backstage:
Wes Lee with Tyson and Tyriek show up in locker room to talk to Dion Lennox about what he said to Oba. Wes says he is not ready for a title match. He says Dion has a long way to go and he will see him tonight. Wes Lee says we have a former champion who has moved from the penthouse to the outhouse. Trick punches Wes.

In Ring:
We are back and Bayley makes her way to the ring.

Bayley responds to the welcome home chants by saying she is home. She says she came out last week to talk to Roxanne Perez because she cares about her and what she has done for the women's division. All it got her was a slap in the face. Bayley says Roxanne said she was acting like CM Punk and Natalya. She says that is a compliment. She says they built the foundation. Natalya taught her how to give back. Bayley says she is here to make sure that she gets rid of entitled little idiots like Roxanne.

Bayley mentions that Roxanne came to Smackdown and talked trash to her in her match against Tiffany Stratton. Then she went to Raw and Roxanne put her hands on her during her match with Nia. That means you are not ready to be on Raw or Smackdown. You are not ready to be a leader in the locker room. There are so many girls who are looking for a chance and with a champion like Giulia.

Giulia interrupts and she makes her way tot he ring.

Giulia says coming from Japan she saw Bayley and said she wanted to be in NXT. She says Roxanne may not look up to you, but she does. She says she hopes to hold this title with as much honor and love for NXT as Bayley did.

Bayley says she has so much respect for Giulia and she was so happy to see her win the title from Roxanne. This title changes your career and your life. It means so much to everyone. It changed the landscape of the women's division.

Roxanne Perez is not going to miss the opportunity to interrupt and she comes out with Cora Jade.

She says she cannot believe Bayley would be able to show her face after two straight losses. She tells Bayley to stop acting so innocent. If you cared about the future, you wouldn't have punched her in the face.

Cora says she was a naive Bayley fan. She says Bayley is not a role model. Cora tells Bayley to leave. She says Giulia should hand that title back to Roxanne because no one can carry it like Roxanne did. Cora says they have been holding it together since Day One.

Roxanne says she has something important to say to Bayley. She says she is not going to take anything away from what Bayley has done. You won the Royal Rumble and you have inspired girls like her and Cora, but her services are no longer needed.

Roxanne says she knows why Bayley is here. She says she saw Bayley looking at the title and you want to be the number one woman in the best women's division. Tell Giulia the real reason you are here.

Bayley and Giulia attack Cora and Perez. Giulia sends Perez into the turnbuckles and Cora is sent to the floor by Bayley.

Backstage:
Jaida Parker is in LOCKER ROOM and she says Bayley mentioned her name two weeks in a row. Kelani Jordan says that Bayley mentioned her name too. Karmen Petrovic interrupts and says love is in the air. Kelania argue with Zaria and Sol. Jaida talks about how Adonis is going to leave her and says he is Nikkita's man.

In Ring:
Cora, Bayley, Giulia, and Roxanne continue to fight in the ring and around the ring. Officials show up and Giulia punches Cora. Roxanne attacks Bayley from behind and goes after Giulia. They are briefly separated until the women are able to break free. Cora and Roxanne are finally escorted to the back. Bayley and Giulia follow and they continue to brawl while officials try to do their jobs. Dion Lennox walks past since he has a match.


Dion Lennox vs Wes Lee (w/ Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe)

Wes tosses his jacket at Dion and he hits a rolling kick. Wes with kicks in the corner and he hits a suicide dive. Dion tosses Wes high into the air and to the mat followed by clotheslines. Dion with a double leg take down and he punches Wes. Dion with a few shoulder tackles. Wes with a boot in the corner followed by a thrust kick. Dion with a spinebuster and he gets a near fall. Dion sets for a suplex but Wes with a knee to escape followed by a thrust kick and a spinning back heel kick. Wes with an enzuigiri followed by a Cardiac Kick for the three count.

Winner: Wes Lee

After the match:
Wes says so much for championship quality. He challenges Trick Williams to a match next week. Trick comes out and he takes care of Tyson and Tyriek. Trick punches Wes and he sends him over the top rope to the floor. Trick accepts the challenge. Trick bumps into Dion as he goes to the back and Dion has a look on his face.


Cideo package:
Lexis King says he told you he could do it. He says he didn't start off the best. He says he has turned a new leaf. He doesn't want people to see him as a loose cannon. He says he is not his father's son. People are starting to take notice. Lexis says he told you he could become a champion. Charlie Dempsey says it is a disgrace for Lexis' name to be on the trophy. Lexis says he won't be able to win them all over, but slow and steady.

Backstage:
We are back and Sarah announces that Luca Crusifino and Channing Lorenzo will face Niko Vance and Brooks Jensen tonight. Stephanie Vaquer shows up and she says she wants the North American Title. She says she is not going to stop because Fallon wants to play with her opportunity or because Shotzi benefited from the opportunity. She tells Shotzi if she wins, she will meet hell. She tells Fallon she can run, but she cannot hide from the Diablo.


Heritage Cup Title Match
Lexis King versus Charlie Dempsey

Round One

King offers his hand and Charlie kicks it away. King with a waist lock and take down into a front face lock. Charlie with an ankle lock and King escapes. They lock up and Charlie with a front face lock. King with an arm wringer and a drop kick. King with an arm drag into an arm bar. Charlie with a take down but King holds on to the wrist lock. Charlie with a side head lock and King escapes. King wtih a hammer lock after escaping a head lock. King with a knee to the shoulder but Charlie kicks King.

Charlie with a back slide for a near fall. King with a near fall. King with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. King avoids a leap frog and Charlie covers up to avoid a repeat of the last match. They shake hands and Charlie with European uppercuts. King with a drop toe hold and he goes for a rollup but Charlie with a sleeper. King escapes but Charlie with a rollup for a near fall. Charlie with a back slide for a near fall. Charlie goes for a crossface chicken wing but the round ends.

We see brass knuckles in King's water bucket.

Round Two

They lock up and Charlie goes for a hammer lock but King with a side head lock take down. Charlie goes for a head scissors but King blocks it. Charlie with a front face lock into a top wrist lock. King tries for a cover but Charlie iwth a bridge. Charlie iwth a monkey flip for a near fall. King with a sunset flip for a near fall. Charlie with a rear naked choke and a gutwrench suplex for a near fall.

Charlie with a reverse chin lock. Charlie with a forearm but King with a back drop into an arm bar. Charlie with a wrist lock. King blocks a sunset flip and he drops down to get the three count.

Round Three

Charlie with knees but King with an arm bar. Charlie has King in the ropes and he pulls King's throat into the top rope. Charlie with forearms and European uppercuts. Charlie with an Irish whip into the middle turnbuckle. Charlie with a German suplex and bridge for a near fall. Charlie with a kick and he applies a head lock and he traps the arm to add more leverage.

Charlie with punches to the head and King with a rollup for a near fall. King with a super kick and he gets a near fall. King floats over on an Irish whip. Charlie with a knee to the head and a bridging Butterfly suplex for the three count.

Round Four

King goes for the brass knuckles but puts them back in the bucket.

King with kicks and Charlie with a dragon screw followed by a rollup into a guillotine with the elbow in the back. King with a suplex to escape. King with chops and a shoulder tackle or two. King with an Irish whip and clothesline itno the corner. King with a chop and a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. King with a cross body for a near fall. Charlie blocks a super kick and hits a leg trapped German suplex for a near fall.

King goes for the bucket but Charlie grabs Lexis. King sends Charlie over the top rope when he escapes a crossface chicken wing. King with a plancha onto everyone on the floor. King punches Myles when Myles tries to stop him. Charlie with an inside cradle or a near fall. King with a rollup. The referee is out of position and King with a low kick and Coronation for the three count.

Winner: Lexis King (retains championship)


Backstage:
Bianca and Naomi talk about facing Lash and Jakara next week. Naomi says they might have forgotten who the GLOW and EST are. Bianca says they better bring it next week.

Backstage:
We are back and Hank and Tank are talking to Andre Chase about walking out on them. Chase tells them to just break up and look out for themselves. Chase walks into the lounge.

Kale Dixon tells Chase he is a total badass.

Chase says he was a badass. He says Chase U is dead.

Kale says it doesn't have to be.


Karmen Petrovic (w/ Ashante Adonis) vs Jaida Parker

They lock up and Karmen with a waist lock and Jaida sends her to the mat. Jaida taunts Karmen with a crane kick and Karmen sets for one and Jaida backs up. Karmen with a leg sweep to Jaida. Karmen with an arm bar take down. Jaida with a rollup for a near fall. Jaida with a knee to the midsection followed by an Irish whip but Karmen with a jumping back heel kick and a bulldog for a near fall. Karmen with kicks to the leg. Jaida blocks a kick but Karmen with a jumping back heel kick. Jaida with an Irish whip and Jaida blocks a kick out of the corner. Jaida gets Karmen on her shoulders and hits an electric chair drop.

Jaida with shoulders in the corner. Jaida puts Karmen on the middle rope and she hits a springboard seated splash. Jaida ties Karmen in the ropes and stretches her. Jaida sends Karmen into the turnbuckles. Karmen blocks an attempt into the corner and she kicks Jaida. Jaida with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Jaida with a Gory Special and Karmen with a kick tot he leg to escape. Karmen with an inside cradle for a near fall.

Karmen misses a kick in the corner. Jaida gets Karmen on her shoulders again but Karmen with a victory roll for a near fall. Karmen with a series of running forearms followed by a clothesline. Karmen with sling blade for a near fall. Jaida with a back elbow Jaida with a gourdbuster and Kelani Jordan gets on the apron to distract Jaida. Karmen with a rollup for the three count.

Backstage:
Jakara and Lash talk about Bianca and Naomi. Zaria and Sol tell Jakara and Lash they have the chance to win the tag titles and bring them back to NXT. Lash says this is the biggest match of their careers. She gets to go to her home town to face to former world champs. Jakara says they are going to bring that action. Tatum and Gigi show up when Lash and Jakara talk about future opponents.

Niko Vance and Brooks Jensen (w/ Shawn Spears) vs Luca Crusifino and Channing Lorenzo (w/ Adriana Rizzo)

All four men brawl in the aisle before the match begins.

Brooks sends Channing to the floor and then Channing and Luc with punches to Brooks and Niko.

The referee starts the match. Channing and Luca kick Vance and Channing with a European uppercut. Niko with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Channing sends Vance to the apron and he connects with chops and European uppercuts in the ropes followed by a kick. Brooks knocks Luca off the apron but Channing with a springboard drop kick to send Brooks to the floor. Channing with a flip dive onto Niko and Brooks. Luca tags in and Channing with apunch and Luca with a knee lift. Brooks trips Channing and Niko with a belly-to-back suplex to Luca. Niko with shoulders in the corner followed by a hard Irish whip.

Brooks with shoulders and a suplex for a near fall. Brooks with an arm wringer. Niko tags in and he hits a diving head butt for a near fall. Niko with head butts. Luca with a Codebreaker for a near fall. Brooks and Channing tag in and Channing with clotheslines and then he hits Niko when Brooks moves. Channing with an elbow to Brooks. Brooks with a rear naked choke but he gives Brooks a snap mare and hits a double drop kick. Luca with a super kick to Niko to stop him. Brooks avoids Shatter Machine and he sends Luca to the floor and Niko with a shoulder tackle against the ring steps. Niko tags in and Brooks with a spinning heel kick followed by a clothesline from Niko for the three count.

Backstage:
Sarah is with Nathan Frazer and Axiom. She brings up their appearance at TNA and their match last week. Axiom says you never know with this tag team division. Josh Briggs and Inamura show up and Josh says they have next. They do not appreciate their road trip to TNA. Frazer says it matters who you beat and who have they beaten. Nima and Price attack Josh and Inamura.

Backstage:
Dion Lennox walks in the back and he knocks things over.

Izzi tells Tony that Spears is delusional and now they are even.

Rizzo shows up and wonders where Tony was.

He says Izzi kept talking to him.

Channing says they needed Tony and that they lost.

Tony tells Channing he needs to do things himself.

Ethan Page says he was riding high after shaking hands with the Final Boss. You wanted to stand on your own but now you can't stand. He says he enjoys the sound of human bones breaking. Hearing you scream out in pain. Just like Cedric Alexander. Just like Je'Von Evans. Je'Von, you must never want to speak normal again. Why else would you come to the ring in the state you are in. One punch and you were bleeding. This is your last warning. It won't be just one punch next time.

Backstage:
Je'Von is with Ava and he mumbles that he wants Ethan Page. Ava tells Evans he is not medically cleared. She says Cedric is and he says he will get even for them. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory show up and Theory tells Ava she is doing a great job and better than Nick Aldis. Ava says they were ready for next week. Waller talks about how he will have the NXT champion on the Grayson Waller Effect next week. Waller says they are here to watch the main event.

Next week, Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend face Naomi and Bianca Belair for the Women's Tag Title, Bayley and Giulia will face Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade, Trick Williams faces Wes Lee, we will have the Grayson Waller Effect, and Fallon Henley defends the Women's North American Title against Shotzi.

Oba Femi (c) vs Eddy Thorpe

Eddy with a punch and kick but Oba sends Eddy into the turnbuckles. Eddy avoids a charge into the corner and he hits a German suplex and a leaping elbow drop for a near fall. Eddy with kicks to Oba but Oba with a clothesline. Oba with a biel to Eddy followed by a second one. Oba with a back body drop. Eddy goes to the floor but Oba follows and connects with a forearm to the back and he sends Eddy back into the ring. Oba misses a forearm and hits the apron (the hardest part of the ring). Eddy drops Oba on the top rope and he kicks Oba. Eddy with a drop kick that sends Oba to the floor.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller are on the HBalKony and Eddy sees them.

Eddy runs Oba into the apron and then does it a second time. Eddy with a kick to the head. Oba blocks a kick but Eddy with an elbow to the chest and a kick. Eddy with a punch and kicks in the corner. Eddy with a chop. Oba blocks a chop and he chops Eddy. Oba with an Irish whip but Eddy ducks and Oba hits the turnbuckles. Eddy with a top wrist lock. Oba with an arm drag and slam. Oba misses an elbow drop when Eddy moves. Eddy wtih a reverse chin lock. Oba escapes but Eddy with a front face lock. Oba tosses Eddy away to escape the hold. Oba with punches. Oba misses an uppercut and Eddy with a rear naked choke. Oba backs Eddy into the corner and escapes. Oba with a clothesline and kick. Oba with a side slam. Oba with running uppercuts into the corner followed by a spinebuster for a near fall.

Oba waits for Eddy to get up and he sets for a choke slam but Eddy counters into a triangle. Oba with a one arm power bomb set up but Eddy counters with an inside cradle for a near fall. Oba with a clothesline. Oba goes for a suplex but Eddy with stundog millionaire. Eddy goes to the turnbuckles and he hits an elbow drop for a near fall. Oba and Eddy exchange forearms and chops. Oba with punches but Eddy with a drop kick to the knees. Eddy with a kick and he sets for a German suplex but Oba with a back elbow. Eddy with a German suplex and Oba blocks a leaping elbow drop. Oba with a choke slam for a near fall.

Oba misses a shoulder in the corner and hits the ring post shoulder first. Eddy with a drop kick and he tries for a Yakuza Kick but Oba blocks it and he tosses Eddy to the mat. Oba with a power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Oba Femi (retains championship)

After the match:
Obi celebrates and stares down Austin Theory and Grayson Waller who are on the Balcony. Next week on NXT in Atalanta, Grayson and Theory will host the Grayson Waller Effect with NXT Champion Oba Femi set to be the guest. Trick Williams enters the ring and stares down Oba and then Thorpe gets up and starts approaching, Williams does a jumping knee to stop Thorpe from attacking either of them. They both continue to stare each other down as Oba holds up the championship as we go off the air.
