The fan who had his phone slapped away by CM Punk after WrestleMania 42 says he is not pursuing legal action. According to TMZ, the fan stated, "I want an apology, shake my hand. I'm not gonna sue him or put him in jail. I just want an apology."

The incident occurred at the talent hotel following WrestleMania 42, where multiple reports indicated a lack of security allowed fans to swarm WWE stars. Video footage showed Punk confronting the fan after he continued recording despite being told to leave.

The fan had been pestering Bayley and AJ Lee before Punk intervened. Despite being asked to stop recording, the individual continued filming before Punk stepped in and slapped the phone from his hand.

According to PWInsider, a witness staying at the hotel reported that "not only were Punk and others being surrounded by fans trying to get photos while Bayley and AJ Lee were speaking, but just minutes before this happened, WWE's Damian Priest had to step in to help a female WWE talent get away from a similar group of fans trying to surround her for photos and autographs."

The incident was one of several security failures at the WrestleMania 42 talent hotel. Multiple WWE stars were reportedly swarmed by fans, with Damian Priest also having to intervene to help another female talent escape a similar situation. PWInsider noted there were "lots of other instances of similar occurrences" throughout the weekend.
