Default Wwe Notes & News On Smackdown, Jeff Hardy, Cm Punk, Ortiz Praises Hogan And Much More

WWE NOTES & NEWS ON SMACKDOWN, JEFF HARDY, CM PUNK, ORTIZ PRAISES HOGAN AND MUCH MORE

Smackdown was once again the most watched English language program in the United States by Hispanic audiences, according to HispanicBusiness.com.

WWE Intercontinental champion Jeff Hardy was interviewed by the Fayetteville, North Carolina Observer, discussing tonight's scheduled Raw house show there, his tenure in the business, and more at this link.

A number of readers sent word that CM Punk's Cobra (as in GI Joe's enemies) tattoo was airbrushed off his arm on the cover of the ECW December to Dismember DVD. That was done because Hasbro owns the copyright and trademark on the image, so I would assume that any officially licensing Punk merchandise (action figures, etc.) would likely follow suit.

The Trish Stratus reality series "Armed and Famous" continues to receive a lot of media coverage around the country, mostly based on criticism of the show's concept.

UFC star Tito Ortiz mentioned Hulk Hogan in an interview with the Baltimore Sun today, noting he tries to be colorful when in front of the cameras, citing Hogan and Muhammad Ali as inspirations.

Motley Fool takes a look at the stock performance of World Wrestling Entertainment for 2006 today.

South Carolina's Aiken Standard features an article looking at former WCW star Buff Bagwell, as he'll be appearing on a local indy show in the area, at this link.

For those of you who are old school AWA fans or enjoyed the WWE "Legacy of the AWA" DVD, there's a great Baron Von Raschke interview at this link.

My guess is WWE werent gonna license any CM Punk stuff til they knew if they wanted him around long enough.

Ortiz praising over Hogan is quite interesting, nothing I'd ever imagine. But nonetheless it's good to see UFC wrestlers idoling HOF Wwe wrestlers. His comments also made me chuckle sense it's not everday we see such a high started UFC speak up on a Wwe legend. I'm always noticing people who expreince and do real wrestling don't bother with people who wrestle fake.

im not that surprised by his comments. Ortiz did a couple angles for TNA in 2003 and 2005, so he has a history with the wrestling business.

True, but aren't you a little bit surprised he is praising Hogan at such a odd time?
