    Default What's happening with Jericho?

Ok so it's been bothering/puzzling me for ages now just what's going on with Jericho in WWE lately?

Easily one of if not the most talented wrestlers in the company currently and he seems to be nowhere near the main event picture.

Obviously he had the title back in February and lost it around a month later. Instead of being one of the companies top names on Smackdown though he got traded to Raw which initially could have been a good thing but no.

    Initially he's put back in the tag division where he was stuck for much of last year, he's not anywhere near the main event even though the next PPV requires 4 main eventers and on the latest edition of Raw lost an early match on the card with the commentary as he came down to the ring as;

"What an opportunity for Jericho tonight King, in this non title match up, if Jericho can pick up a win you gotta think it would elevate him in good standing for a US Title shot somewhere down the line."

So what? Are they basically saying one of their best talents who had arguably had the match of the year so far against Edge just over a month ago at Extreme Rules is now so low down the roster he's not even in the US Title hunt due to losing the non title match?

It may be worth noting though as well that Jericho seemed kinda sluggish and a bit off the pace during the match. Is he working hurt? Was he just pissed off at how he's being booked? A wellness issue? Has he pissed off someone important?

It may just be an angle as a way to bring in Wade Barret who was Jerichos rookie in NXT. Jericho is getting beat, he's lost his edge etc etc so he needs something to give him back his pep. In comes Barret.

I hope it is just a storyline like that and nothing more but I fear at the very least it's creative obscenely screwing up with one of their top stars.

Jericho had always been used like this. He can go from tag division, to the mid card, to the world title all in a year.

It has nothing to do with bad booking. It's because Jericho is a rugrat who thinks he is the greatest wrestler ever lived!

Had to know that he would post in here, almost everything with Jericho mentioned in it he has a stab, we all know you hate him, quit reminding us, we are discussing!

Anyhoo, really, I think it's because Jericho can fit in any division, right now he could probably disappear from any title division and have a storyline with a Diva, a feud with say Hornswoggle but better than the Chavo farce, a war of words with Santino, something like that, then suddenly he could jump Cena and be right back in there before lowering to the US title, then over to Tag Titles. He is a Unique gift to the WWE.

I thought he was going to stay in the main event from now on after his WM push, or at least hoped it... but, like everyone else is saying, he's versatile and can do anything he likes which is amazing. There's no way you can see Cena going for the IC/US Title nowadays or Triple H but Jericho can go all over the card, even like Simon said, do feuds with divas or even Hornswoggle and it'll still be good.

Pro wrestler Chris Jericho has been tapped in to host ABC's upcoming extreme game show "Downfall."

Jericho is well known to wrestling fans, having been in the ring since the 1990s and winning the WWE World Championship six times.

ABC's latest reality contest premieres June 22.

On the six-episode series, contestants try to answer questions while on the roof of a Los Angeles high-rise. Meanwhile, "the largest conveyor belt ever seen on TV" will send potential winnings (cash and prizes), the player's personal possessions and even friends and family over the side of the building.

Jericho, repped by APA and manager Barry Bloom, will ask players questions and tempt them with various options throughout the game.

He also made his big-screen debut this summer in "MacGruber."

ABC had the most recent breakout summer reality series two years ago with "Wipeout" and is looking to the FremantleMedia North America-produced "Downfall" to boost this summer.

"Downfall" will get a lead-in from "Wipeout" on Tuesday nights.
