    Default Lose the replays!

Not talking about PPVs I'm more referring to the main two TV shows, Raw and Smackdown.

I get that there's a lot going in the build up to Wrestlemania especially but this has bugged me for some time and it's only escalating now.

Last weeks Smackdown was a joke quite frankly. Now fewer than 8 "replays" showing us what we missed on Raw etc.

There were 5 or 6 on Raw this week as well showing us all about last weeks Raw.

When Smackdown was on free tv it made a bit more sense but it's not anymore. Both shows are on cable.

As someone who watches both Raw and Smackdown I really have little to no interest in the Friday supplement being chock full of what amounts to little more than "If you memory is so shit you can't remember a few days ago here's what happened on Monday"

It's fin and makes sense doing it on Superstars, like they used to do with Heat. A few lower card matches and the main storyline from Raw/Smackdown.

It's made worse when you tune in to the next episode of Raw and once again you get "Last week on Raw..."

On average anything of note that happens on Raw we end up seeing a minimum of 3 times and no doubt will be included in highlights packages during the PPV too most likely.

It isn't a wonder viewing figures don't usually pick up much of late as it's not really important if you happen to miss an episode of Raw because anything you might care about will just be shown to you again.

It can just as easily be covered with decent commentary and anyone who did miss it and didn't bother to tape it etc is tough frankly if they were that bothered they'd have watched it or watched Superstars to catch up.

Agreed. And it's not just summing it up in a couple minutes, which wouldn't be so bad, it's chunks of 10-15 minutes and it's ridiculous.

I just hate when they put entire segments of what HHH/Undertaker/Rock/Cena said on RAW [wish they'd stop using SuperStars to do that]. I don't mind them doing a RAW rewind on SmackDown! and I don't mind them showing some clips of what happened on SmackDown! on RAW if it's relevant. It's a good idea to get viewers interested in what happened on Friday if they don't watch SmackDown and vice versa. Also, for those who don't watch the other show, they at least get familiar with top stars on the other show.

    That's the problem though.

Most people who are genuinely interested will watch both shows, we don't need to see the same things over and over again particularly when it takes up so much time and is just rehasing the same stuff.

It's like that one drunk guy you meet a couple of times. Seems sound and interesting first off then the second time he's just repeating himself and you realise he's just a drunkard.

No one wants to see the same stuff repeated constantly and there's just no need for it. If viewers only choose to watch one show they can't that interested in what happens with the other.

^^ pretty much I just forwarded Cena's promo and watched the Taker/HHH thing. Watch whatever interests you

If Kenpachi used his Bankai, Armageddon, Ragnarok, and every other form of the apocalypse would march from the depths of hell with their demonic legions of death.... then take one look at him and turn tail and run.

imo the replays take up valuable wrestling time and im sure people in the UK & Ireland will agree that because we get shows like bottom line, raw am and whatever the other one is i think its experience not sure if the US gets those shows, but there is enough replays on those shows to actually completly cut out the replas from both raw and smackdown every week.

Exactly have the highlights packages and replays on the catch up shows and make the two main shows proper "must see" stuff.

If you hear about something and you missed it you'll think "shit I wish I watched now" and will be more likely to tune in next time.

exactly, no replays could make a huge difference in rating especially if you miss it youll have wished you either recorded it or watched it.

and like all this crap with the rock and cena is getting worse and its not going to build up to much, last weeks raw we had to see highlights of the rocks promo and imo that promo wasnt great i think it sucked and i dont wanna see it replayed again because with all those other shows we will just see it all at least 4 times a week maybe 5 its too much..

I agree replays should be used a lot less. I also would like from the vault axed as well as very often its 2 guys who are still on the roster and possibly have faced each other not long ago so it just highlights that wwe are doing the same stuff over and over again. If your gonna have a from the vault it should be pre millenium so its actually classic wrestling.

Ive only seen one From The Vault that I can recall. Last year it was an awful Kane vs Mark Henry "match" from 2007 and was the most pointless piece of shit I'd seen in ages.

theres one every week in smackdowns broadcast here. It takes 10 to 15 minutes and I always fast forward through it as its usually a waste of time when I'd rather see a new match instead

That's mental and in some ways would annoy me more than the constant replays of what happened on Raw etc.

If they can't fill a two hour show for Smackdown with current entertaining material then they have some real problems.
