Here's an article I read today that I thought was interesting and wanted to share:
Week Recap and NWO vs DX
Welcome to the recap brought to you today by Joey Styles who has drunk deep of the WWE cool-aid. On the ECW show Joey talked about how Cena's movie THE MARINE was a smash hit. This is not true. An opening weekend that only pulls in 7 million is not cause for celebration. I miss the old Joey, who would've told us how bad the movie tanked and that Cena should learn how to wrestle before he tries to act.
RECAP: RAW. Edge and Orton pulled off a funny bit. Nice impersonation of DX. The insults hurled by these two upset DX so much that they forgot to sell any merchandise. Didn't care for the weak photo shop ending. Would of been much happier if DX impersonated Edge and Orton and went to the ring. Let's face it, there is a lot to make fun of with these two. I guess I should of just been happy that no McMahon was involved. DX vs Orton and Edge is set for Cyber Sunday. With the rumors of management looking to bring in a big name for a draw, look for Stone Cold Steve Austin to be announced as the guest referee for this match. Do you think Hardy was hurt after the kick in the face by Shelton Benjamin? It looked like Masters didn't know what to do after. It's time for the WWE to stick a fork in Super Crazy, Chris Masters and Shelton Benjamin. All of these guys are in the wrong place, using the wrong gimmick and in the wrong divisions. Jackass number two gave a big screw you to TNA. After a month of TNA pushing the new Jackass film and making it part of their story-lines, Steve-O and Pontius show up on RAW, without a single mention of their movie. Good segment. Umaga destroying the Jackass guys was fun. Extra points to Umaga for kicking the hell out of Steve-O for laughing. Maria is in the tournament for the women's title. I have to think that this is being done to appease C. M. Punk. Maria's skills are suspect and I think Candice Marie deserves a push after all of the work she has done to become some what proficient in the ring. It's just too bad she wasn't dating some one who could help her career. Cryme Tyme has the goods. Strong in ring and great charisma. Will some one do me a favor and put the Spirit Squad out of their misery. The team hasn't been effective for quite some time. They have too many members and it's time to prune that tree. Speaking again of Cryme Tyme I loved the bit with the Tyme jacking King Booker's wallet. Funny stuff. Every one in the world seems to hate Kevin Federline. This is how you get Cena over with the crowd. The only problem is after Federline who do you use next. Saddam? Osama? Federline gets punched by George Eads on CSI and then FUed by Cena. HHH seemed to walk through Randy Orton and it doesn't give me good feelings for the future of this feud. This unstoppable DX is not interesting. I'd like to see Edge and Orton give them a run for their money. One question before I move on to ECW. Why do they keep pushing Hacksaw Jim Duggan when they have Mike Rotunda back stage? When I saw him come out with Flair last week, he looked ready to go.
ECW. I have a new game to play while watching ECW. Every time Test is called ruthless, you have to take a drink. I guarantee you will be drunk before the show is over. Sandman vs Striker provided what was expected. A decent match that went nowhere. Sandman has limited skills and could use the help of a partner to pull this feud off. Sandman wins by count out. Dupree looked a little less lost on this outing against C. M. Punk. Maybe he will get better. Punk wins by tap out. If Knox isn't going to attack, then he shouldn't come out. Being run off by Punk hurts his credibility. RVD had to do the impossible and give a promo without a thinly veiled drug reference. Balls Mahoney is still in the WWE dog house and received his whooping this week from Test. I don't know if you know this but he's RUTHLESS. Every one has to take a drink. This goes back to what I've been saying. Test just doesn't seem extreme. He needs to do some thing monstrous and then maybe he'll be RUTHLESS. Another drink. Shannon Moore is being buried. All he has done since his return is lose. Shannon needs to go over to Smackdown and teach London and Kendrick how to be weird. Sabu easily defeats the reject. Big Show and RVD seemed anti-climatic after all of the build up. RVD can sell a move like no one else. There were times when Show hit him, that it looked like RVD didn't have any bones. He flopped around like a rag doll. If you want to find out if Cyber Sunday's voting is real, then vote for the Big Show to defend his title. Will they mess up the December To Dismember? RVD wins with the help of the new face turned Bob Holly. A face Bob Holly? HAS HELL FROZEN OVER? If the saying is true, that you always hurt the ones you love. Then Bob has a lot of love and he shares it with the locker room.
NWO VS DX. Eric Bischoff has been priming the pumps on this one. He said, "DX is a copy of the NWO." Does this guarantee we will be seeing NWO vs DX? No. It means that the WWE is testing out how the audience would respond to this and would that response translate into buy rates. And the biggest question is the money worth all of the trouble. There are big problems with bringing back the NWO. First Kevin Nash is way past his prime and Scott Hall can't be trusted. Kevin Nash was never that great a wrestler and he was not interested in keeping in peek physical condition. I remember matches that Kevin was blowing up ten minutes in. If you have watched him in TNA you will know that his conditioning hasn't improved. Scott Hall has had a major drinking problem. There are reports that he has clean up, but WWE management has heard that one before. Second problem is that the NWO would have to come in as heels to feud with DX. Will the fans accept a heel NWO? The last problem is that the NWO isn't two, it's three. Do you think Hogan can and would turn heel again? There are solutions to these problems. If Hall is healthy he could have main event run in the WWE. Unlike Nash, Hall was usually in shape and can wrestle with the best of them. Nash is charisma. He has great presence and the WWE has always found a way to make Nash look good in his matches. Making the NWO heel could be accomplished by having Hall and Nash attack Hogan and kicking him out of the group. If Hall is healthy and ready to stay that way, NWO vs DX could sell out Wrestlemania.

So after reading that...agree or disagree? I think WWE might want to bring back nWo to give DX something to do and because with all te chatter over the net WWE might be able to see that it might be worth it.
