Awesome Kong Returning to Action at Impact 1000

A blast from the past is about to grace the squared circle once again as former WWE superstar Awesome Kong, known as Kharma during her WWE stint, gears up for an exciting in-ring return. Kong is posed to return at Impact Wrestling’s 1000th episode.

While her WWE tenure from 2010 to 2012 may have been fleeting, Kong's name is etched in the annals of wrestling history mainly due to her journey within TNA/Impact Wrestling. Her dominion over the ring saw her obtain the TNA Knockouts Championship on two occasions.

Having last graced the ring on an episode of AEW Dark in the New Year of 2020, Kong announced her retirement over a year later. Her career earned her a well-deserved place in the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame.

The Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York, will be the stage where Kong will return to in-ring action on September 9. Her appearance is an integral part of IMPACT Wrestling's grand celebration of their 1,000th episode.

It is not known who Kong will face in the episode. The anticipation surrounding her return was ignited on August 4, with the comeback announcements of the Beautiful People Angelina Love and Velvet Sky). All three women are former Impact Wrestling Knockouts World Champions, and the 100th episode is going to be a star-studded affair.

Making her debut under the name 'Amazing Kong' on October 11, 2007, during an episode of Impact, she swiftly etched her place as one of the most memorable figures in the company's history. After a short stint with WWE in 2010, Kong retraced her steps back to Impact in 2015. This wasn't her final bow, as she bid adieu once more in February 2016, later working with AEW from 2019 to 2021.

At 45, she is getting up there but good for her returning to the ring after her "retirement." Another Hall of Famer still wrestling "sigh" lol although Kong inducted in the Impact Hall of Fame in 2021. Maybe she needs the money. lol
