Pat McAfee is Grateful And Excited For WWE RAW Return

Pat McAfee has responded enthusiastically to Triple H’s confirmation of his full-time return to WWE as a commentator on Monday Night RAW. While the news of McAfee’s comeback had been circulating since August, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” confirmed it this week during the Netflix & WWE “Lunch and Learn” event.

Taking to social media, McAfee expressed his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to return to WWE. “An absolute honor to be asked back,” he wrote. “A childhood dream realized every single time I’m lucky enough to be in an arena with the @WWE Universe. Can’t wait to be talking into a microphone next to @MichaelCole again… He’s the ?. I’m excited to tell the worldwide audience on Netflix how great the WWE Superstars are… and how big of scumbags some of ‘em are too. Let’s go.”

McAfee previously stepped away from WWE commentary to focus on his role with ESPN’s College GameDay. During his absence, RAW’s commentary duties were filled by Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore, while Michael Cole moved to SmackDown alongside Corey Graves.

While Triple H did not specify the exact date of McAfee’s return, it is widely speculated that his comeback will coincide with RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6, 2024. The move to Netflix marks a new chapter for WWE, and McAfee has pledged to use the platform to elevate WWE’s popularity to a global audience.
