Angry WWE RAW Live Coverage - February 17th, 2025

Seth “Freakin” Rollins dukes it out with Finn Bálor for Elimination Chamber berth

The race to the Elimination Chamber continues as Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Finn Bálor collide for a spot inside the twisted structure. Rollins and Bálor are no stranger to each other, having battled before in many big matches, with The Visionary having the upper hand in recent encounters. Who will defeat the other when these two long-term adversaries go at it once again?

    – We kick off RAW with clips of the arrivals of Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Roxanne Perez, The Judgement Day, American Made, Dakota Kai and AJ Styles.

    – Michael Cole and Pat McAfee greet audiences at home before throwing it to a video of Kevin Owens' attack on Sami Zayn a couple of weeks ago.

    – Sami Zayn then makes his way out to the ring.

Zayn says it's been a rough couple of weeks, so the warm welcome from the live crowd is appreciated. He says he's had a couple of weeks as he's been rehabbing to think about his history with Kevin Owens, then says no other two guys have been tied to each other from the beginning of their careers like him and Owens. He says there's obviously going to be a lot of betrayals and forgiveness in a story that long, but there's no forgiving or forgetting this time because it was different. He says this time was't about sending a message or Owens wanting to get ahead, but rather wanting to end his career. He says Owens didn't get the job done, and he's still standing. Zayn admits his neck isn't 100%, but he still has enough in him for a fight and informs him that he'll be in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for WWE Elimination Chamber.

Adam Pearce marks his way down to the ring and says Zayn has been given the answer of no to the match more than once by numerous people. He says as much as he would love nothing more than to make a match between Zayn and Owens official, the answer is still no. Zayn tells Pearce as he heads to the back that he isn't leaving the ring until he gets his match against Owens. He says he couldn't sanction a match between them, and he couldn't stop Owens with whatever he wanted to do. He says even if Zayn wins the match, he still loses and asks what he wants him to do.

Zayn says that while Pearce can't stop Owens, he can't stop him either. He demands the match from Pearce, and Peare makes it official as an Unsanctioned Match.

    – The Judgement Day is hanging out backstage and Dominik is talking to Liv about Bianca and Naomi looking to get vengeance against her and Raquel. Morgan gives Dom props for stepping up and Dom says he hopes Balor shared that sentiment. Balor says after tonight three Judgement Day members will be at Elimination Chamber unless Rodriguez loses to Roxanne Perez tonight. He also tells them no new members.

    – AJ Styles is seen backstage prepping for his match.

Dominik Mysterio (w/ Carlito) vs. AJ Styles

The bell rings and the two lock up. They take turns locking one another in submission holds, but Styles looks to fly off the top. Carlito trips him, opening the door for Dominik to land a tope suicida on him.

Dominik dumps Styles inside the ring, then wears him down with another submission and stomps on his chest using the ropes. He whips Styles into the mat, then flies over the top rope to level Styles and follows it up The Three Amigos. Styles prevents Dominik from landing the third suplex, but Dominik dials it up for a 619 and ascends to the top. He looks to land a Frog Splash, but Styles moves out of the way to avoid it.

Styles turns Dominik inside out with a clothesline, then delivers a shoulderbreaker to him off his shoulders. Carlito looks to interfere, but Styles levels him. Dominik looks to take advantage and rolls up Styles, but Styles kicks out and lands the Styles Clash for the win.

    Winner: AJ Styles

    – After the match, Bron Breakker sneaks up behind Styles. He looks to land a spear on Styles, but Styles moves out of the way and Breakker accidentally spears Dominik. Breakker gets fired up and rips off his shirt, but Styles catches it in response and stares down Breakker.

    – American Made are backstage talking. Ivy Nile reminds The Creed Brothers that they've promised Chad Gable they'll all have gold and she's going to beat Dakota Kai tonight. Kai walks back and says she'll earn her rematch tonight.

    – Lyra Valkyria makes her way out to watch the IC No 1 Contenders match.

Women's Intercontinental Championship No 1 Contender's Match: Ivy Nile vs. Dakota Kai

The bell rings and the two lock up. Nile dumps Kai over the top rope, then begins targeting her knee and sends it bouncing off the ring apron. Nile drapes Kai off the top rope, then lands a kick on her midsection and goes for a pin. Kai kicks out, then lands a running kick on Nile in the corner and follows it up with a running boot. She connects with a Sunset Flip-Backbreaker combination and goes for a pin, but Kai kicks out.

Nile and Kai teeter on the ropes, but Nile pulls Kai off and lands a powerbomb on her. She cinches in an Ankle Lock on Kai and transitions into a reverse Knee Bar, but Kai crawls over to the bottom rope to break the hold. Nile fires off kicks on Kai's legs, but Kai delivers a boot to Nile. Nile responds with a Tornado DDT to Kai, then follows it up with a German suplex. Kai rolls up Nile, but Nile kicks out. Kai then lands a Scorpion Kick on Nile and sets up for the GTK, but Nile escapes and cinches in an Ankle Lock once again. Kai escapes by sending Nile crashing onto the apron, then follows it up with the GTK for the win.

Winner and new Number One Contender: Dakota Kai

    – After the match, Valkyria holds up the Women's Intercontinental Championship and stares down Kai in the ring.

    – GUNTHER then makes his way to the ring, mocking Jey Uso by appearing through the crowd.

GUNTHER says performing for the fans like fans is like "reading Shakespeare to a rock". He says he has to step in the ring with people who can't even lace his boots, then says he forced Jey Uso into digging his own grave. He says at WWE WrestleMania 41, Jey's blood will be on the hands of the fans and tells them to be honest about whether Jey can actually beat him at WrestleMania. He stands up on the announce desk and asks Michael Cole and Pat McAfee if they really believe Jey can beat him at WrestleMania in their unbiased opinion. He tosses his microphone down at McAfee, and McAfee says he hopes that Jey can beat GUNTHER at WrestleMania.

Jey Uso's music hits and he makes his way down to the ring as three referees try stopping him. Jey pushes right past him, and the two begin to brawl until more officials run down to the ring and separate them.

    – Cathy Kelley is backstage with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez and she asks about them being accused of attacking Jade Cargill. Morgan asks Kelley if she saw the video as it doesn't prove anything. Morgan says they don't have time for these theories and that Rodriguez is focused on defeating Roxanne Perez. Kelley tells them they gave her nothing and Morgan and Rodriguez leave.

    Pete Dunne vs. Penta

The bell rings and Penta looks to hit his signature pose. Dunne interrupts him, but Penta responds with a hurricanrana and a kick to Dunne's face. Dunne lands a dropkick on Penta, then takes off his gloves and snaps his singers to target his fingers. Penta connects with a backbreaker on Dunne, then gets him up on his shoulders on the apron. Dunne escapes and snaps Penta's fingers, then sends him crashing into the ring apron face first as Ludwig Kaiser strolls out to ringside.

Dunne snaps on Penta's fingers, but Penta responds with a crossbody to Dunne. Dunne lands a dropkick on Penta, but Penta pulls Dunne off the ropes and lands a Sling Blade on him. Penta sends Dunne crashing into the mat, then lands a superkick on his face as he teeters on the ropes. Dunne then catches Penta with a sit-out powerbomb and goes for a pin, but Dunne kicks out.

Dunne lands a German suplex on Penta, but Penta kicks him with a superkick. Dunne lands a step-up enzuigiri on Penta, but Penta responds with a Mexican Destroyer. He looks to run the ropes, but Kaiser hops up on the apron to stop him in his tracks. Dunne takes advantage and rolls up Penta, but Penta kicks out. Penta delivers the Penta Driver to Dunne for the win.

    Winner: Penta

    – After the match, Kaiser and Dunne brawl on the outside. Penta flies over the top rope to level them.

    – Cathy Kelley talks to Jey Uso backstage and talks about his confidence going up against Gunther. Uso says he'll become champ and YEETS away.

    – Roxanne Perez then makes her way out to the ring. Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan follow.

Women's Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Roxanne Perez -vs- Raquel Rodriguez w/Liv Morgan

The bell rings and Perez lands an open palm strike on Rodriguez. Rodriguez sends Perez crashing into the corner, but Perez dropkicks Rodriguez out of the ring. She looks to fly, but Rodriguez catches her and sends her crashing into the ring post. Rodriguez sends Perez crashing into the mat back in the ring off the shoulders, then sends her crashing into the top turnbuckle. Perez sends Rodriguez's jaw bouncing off the top rope, then lands a chop block on her and goes for a pin. Rodriguez kicks out.

Perez looks to fly off the ropes, but Rodriguez catches her and lands a Fallaway Slam on her. She follows it up with a Corkscrew Elbow and charges at Perez in the corner, but Perez sends her crashing into the ring post. Bianca Belair's music hits, and she makes her way down to the ring. Naomi joins her, and the two surround Morgan on the outside. They begin to beat her down, and Rodriguez becomes distracted. Perez takes advantage and delivers Pop Rox to Rodriguez for the win.

    Winner: Roxanne Perez

    – After the match, Belair and Naomi look to land a double KOD on Morgan but Rodriguez comes to her aid.

    – Cathy Kelley talks to Seth Rollins who says he will come out victorious tonight. Karrion Kross and Scarlett come by after Rollins leaves. Kross talks about the Elimination Chamber match and tells Zayn he has time to turn things around.

    – New Day then make their way down to the ring.

Fans rain down boos on Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as Woods mockingly tells to get well soon. He says fans are mad about what they said to Big E and the fact that they told him the truth, as well as what him and Kingston did to Rey Mysterio. He says every single fan has gone insane, and Kingston says fans have put Rey on a pedestal for being a WWE Hall of Famer. He brags about having more title wins then Rey and being in WWE longer than him, then addresses Rey crying in the ring after the attack and says fans should thank them for giving Rey more vacation days at home with his wife.

LWO's music hits, and Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde appear on the entrance ramp. Lee says New Day sucks before him, Del Toro, and Wilde blindside New Day with an attack. They send Kingston and Woods crashing out of the ring, and Wilde and Del Toro hold the ropes open for Lee to fly. Kingston and Woods run up the ramp before he can, and Woods squishes Wilde's hat at the top of the ramp.

    – Naomi and Bianca Belair are backstage when Cathy Kelley comes up to them and asks if that's what they have in store for Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. They vow to be victorious at Elimination Chamber and to give Liv Morgan the beating she deserves.

    – Seth "Freakin" Rollins then makes his way out to the ring. Finn Balor follows.

He flies off the ropes to land a knee on Balor back inside, then trips him twice and uses the middle rope to target Balor's knee.

Balor sends Rollins crashing into the ring apron midsection first, then stomps on his spine repeatedly. Rollins sends Balor crashing into the announce desk and looks to land a Curb Stomp on him on top of the ring steps, but Balor sees him coming and sends Rollins crashing into the ring steps.

Rollins and Balor trade strikes, then wears him down with a submission hold. Balor rolls up Rollins, but Rollins kicks out and fires off right hands and chops on Balor. He follows it up with a DDT, then goes for a pin but Balor kicks out. Rollins then delivers a springboard moonsault to Balor, then lands a Buckle Bomb on him.
