— Back from a break, Maclin joins Santana at a bar and orders two drinks, then invites Santana to say what he has to say to him since he called this meeting. Santana says himself and Maclin know each other better than anyone else and says the professional wrestling business is full of sharks vying for the one spot at the top.
Santana says Maclin was his brother who spoke up for him in rooms that he wasn't present in, but he let his pride and ego get in the way. Maclin says if anyone has an ego, it's Santana. He tells Santana about a story of a man who served in Afghanistan who volunteered to mine sweep in a platoon of 12. He says the man got out of his truck and started sweeping and probing, with any step potentially being his last. He says there were no casualties and says he was that man.
The two drinks arrive, and Maclin hands one to the sober Santana. Santana says it's fine that Maclin loves his mind games, then says he respects Maclin for what he's done. He says while Maclin fought someone else's war, he fought a war in himself. He says he made his past his superpower while Maclin made his past his excuse, then tells Maclin that he hopes he's ready for Sacrifice. Santana pays for the drinks and hands his drink back to Maclin, then tells Maclin that he's welcome for his job as the show goes off the air.
