I was watching RAW yesterday and really thought that Spirit Squad was going to be the team that can never team up again but it happened to be Eugene and Hacksaw Jim Duggen. After Hacksaw lost the match Eugene assaulted him with Hacksaw's signature 2x4.
In my opinion this may be a great way to turn Eugene heel and allow him to become Nick Dinsmore or some gimmick more normal. Don't get me wrong i liked Eugene's gimmick for a while because i found him funny, But now it is as stale as a year old loaf of bread.
Theres no denying that Nick Dinsmore has alot of talent in the ring and for all we know he could be great on the mic, Its just he has been stuck with this "Retarded" gimmick for so long. I feel that this should be the way they turn Eugene heel if they choose to go so.
I have heard people saying about Nick's work in other promotion's and saying that he is a good wrestler. I'm sure if he can make a gimmick like he has now even entertaining for a while, He can be very entertaining with a different gimmick.

the whole point of the match was to go head on with the rumors of the spirit squad breakup...and then pull a big "PSYCH!!! NOT NOW!!!" on everyone.
The Eugene heel turn was kind of a "two birds with one stone" kinda thing.

Eugene simply wasnt over anymore. Hopefully he'll do a character change (exactly like The Hurricane to Gregory Helms).

From day 1 I have hated the mentally retarded gimmick, and I still do... Not even for a second have I found it amusing.
The sooner they ditch it, the better, because it never should have been in the first place.

I couldn't agree more. The gimmick is insulting and I can honestly say that I have successfully avoided every segment that Eugene has ever been in, in protest of its stupidity. I'm afraid that people are going to be subjected to a "mean mentally retarded person" gimmick now though, which is going to be 100 times worse and cant turn out well. Originally Posted by scorpionf
