Cool Guys who would suck as face, guys who would suck as heel''

There are just some superstars on the roster that in our minds would never make it if they played face or if they played heel, depending on the wrestler or the gimmick.

For example, we've seen guys like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Goldberg who were arguably the two biggest faces of the late 90s. And once they turned heel, they just couldn't cut it. Goldberg's heel turn in particular is a prime example.

Then there are guys who make fantastic heels who are downright rotten as faces. Triple H was a massive heel in the late 90s and early 2000s. But when he came back in 2002, with the exception of his big return at MSG, his face run seemed hollow to me somehow, and the main event of WrestleMania 18 suffered because of it.

Then, of course, you have people like the Rock who can swing either way and still be fantastic.

So that poses the question, who currently in WWE would you say would totally bomb if he played the opposite role?

In my opinion, Rey Mysterio would never make it as a believable heel. And I don't think "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters would ever be a plausible face character.

    Your thoughts?

I love your choice for the sorry heel character and agree with you there...
as far as a face, I'll say Umaga...
that weak gimmick is barely working as a heel gimmick! LOL!

Orton isn't believable as either. He needs to be part of the ring set-up crew.

Orton relies simply on being obnoxious in order to get him over as a heel and he has absolutely no redeeming qualities that would help him get over as a face, so i agree with that pick. Rey Mysterio was getting huge heat throughout the Eddie angle so i wouldn't pick him. RVD gets my vote for the guy that wouldn't work as as a heel.He is a sloppy worker and he is poor on the mic, yet the fans still go wild for him. The guy has whatever the magical "it" factor is that makes fans want to cheer him.

The "it" factor that RVD has is the fact that he doesn't hide the fact that he's a pot head. All the other pot heads cheer him for that. They definitly aren't cheering him because of all "innovative" moves he does. He has the same moveset as he did in the 90's.

I disagree, I think part of the reason that they cheer him because he does moves that are innovative for a wwe performer. They would look lame and shitty in an x division match, but they are things that strict wwe fans don't get to see.

I think Mark Henry would suck as a Face

As for a heel, Rey Mysterio for one.

As for cena, i wish he would just do something extremly terrible and get fucking fired

I'd have to asy that Rey would suck as a heel cause he just so small and innocent looking and a bad face would definitely be Randy Orton. That one run he had as a face sucked, he was so boring to watch, great Heel thow..
