Default Update On John Cena & HBK's WrestleMania 23 Match

According to those within WWE, Shawn Michaels was said to be the least bit upset about losing his match to John Cena this past Sunday at WrestleMania. Michaels accepts the fact that he is getting older as he is now 42. Michaels has always argued for what’s better for the business so he wasn’t going to put up a fuss over his loss to Cena.

However, 18 months ago when he lost to Hulk Hogan at SummerSlam, he was upset because Hogan was older than him and wasn’t a full-time wrestler. It was more of a Hogan power play that resulted in Michaels taking the loss at last years SummerSlam.

The promo that Shawn cut on RAW, which referenced to Hogan and Bret Hart, was a dig at the two wrestlers for putting up a fuss backstage in the past when they had to lose to him. In both those situations, Shawn felt they should have lost to him because Bret was leaving the company and Hogan was just making a special appearance.

i am on shawn's side on this one as shawn was willing to put cena over for the benefit of the company whereas bret and hogan were both being selfish and wanted to hog the spotlight

In this instance though, it should be talent over age. HBK has the talent at his age, and Cena probably never will regardless of his age.

Cena is a lot younger and the WWE see him as the future of the business as well as the present it seems

HBK should have won as it would have been more entertaining. Cena as champion is getting duller by the minute

Shawn makes a good point there, about Hogan. Especially at their ages.

Then the WWE is stupid. But only if that is true. Cena has had too many matches where he just seemed loss when it came to wrestling. He can brawl decently, but he could never even outwrestle Hogan.
