Everyone's favorite old person is back... or is he?
Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle
Who is the most underrated driver in the circuit today?
I've given him bad rap in the past, but I got to say Robby Gordon is starting to grow on me and I thought he was going to win the race a couple of weeks ago. Ever since he quit going with Menards' motors and instead went with DEI stuff his average finish has went up significantly.
As far as the Chase goes, the man who finished tied for 2nd in points, Carl Edwards, is gonna be out this time around. He's had some pretty bad luck this year and the crew chief shuffle at Roush isn't gonna help things on the 99 team. Most underrated driver award in my opinion would have to go to Clint Bowyer. He's leading the rookie of the year, he's 13th overall in points and had really improved the morale of the 07 team.
Missing The Chase: Carl Edwards.
Most Underrated: Casey Mears.
Both speak for themselves.

Who do you think is the hottest driver in the Nextel Cup right now? My pick has got to be Kevin Harvick. The man went from being 20 something in points 2 months ago to 7th now. He's got some great momentum on his side and I'm sure RCR will extend his contract now.
Kevin Harvick is my man, but its Kasey Kahne.
He has been hot this year, and I hope he does well too. He has won 2 poles, and I think 2 races? SO Yeah, hes on fire right now.

Paint it black: Junior to drive black No. 8 Sunday

MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his two DEI teammates will sport his father's classic black and white paint scheme in Sunday's Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Dale Earnhardt Day is Saturday, on what would have been the seven-time NASCAR champion's 55th birthday. The primary sponsors of the three DEI Nextel Cup cars and one Busch Series car are paying tribute to Earnhardt this weekend.
"I think this is a great tribute to Dale on such a special weekend," said Teresa Earnhardt, President and CEO of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. "To have all of our sponsors come together with this tribute and want to be a part of it says a lot about the respect they have for Dale's accomplishments."
Earnhardt won 10 times at Talladega, including his final Cup victory on Oct. 15, 2000. He will be inducted posthumously into the speedway's International Motorsports Hall of Fame on Thursday, with the induction ceremony to be shown at a later date on SPEED.
I saw that today man, it's a beautiful car. I saw Truex Jr.'s car too, looks pretty similar. It'll be great watching that car lead some laps at Talladega this weekend.
I like that, what an awesome idea. I was a HUGE fan of Dale Sr. , thats why I am a HUGE fan of Harvick (took over for Sr.), and this is such a great tribute.![]()

Also looks like Toyota are going after Dale Jarrett & UPS pretty aggressively. He's had a few real good years over at Yates. If Dale takes his sponsor with him to Toyota that would be a huge acquisition for them.
