The UFC has officially signed top ranked Middleweight (185 lb.) fighter Anderson "Spider" Silva. Silva, who has had great success in the PRIDE organization in Japan, enters the UFC Middleweight picture after stopping Tony Fryklund by knockout this weekend in England.
No opponent or start date with the company has been released yet, but Silva should rise through the rankings quickly and get a match with current champion Rich Franklin, a fight die-hard fans of the sport have been wanting for a while.

bring him on, my boy Rich needs any some type of competition at the MW class. If Louisou was supposed to be the top talent for the MW title, I hope Silva can provide some type of true compeition that he didn't when he was totally outmatched by Franklin.
