Seth Rollins Pays Tribute To Rey Mysterio During WWE Live Event

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins spoke highly of the WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio at the WWE SuperShow live event in Monterrey, Mexico.

Rey Mysterio has been one of the greatest luchadors to ever step foot inside the ring. His high-flying offense and acrobatic moves captivated the fans. He certainly paved the way for several high-flyers into the business. Not only that, he has inspired several stars in the pro wrestling world including Seth Rollins.

Rollins and Mysterio have been on-screen rivals in the past. During the pandemic they were involved in a heated rivalry and they even faced each other in an Eye for an Eye match. Rollins popped Mysterio's eye of its socket with the corner of the steel steps during the match at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.

It was during the live event Monterrey that Seth Rollins said some kind words about Mysterio in a moment that was captured by the fans.

In a video clip shared by Seth Rollins on Twitter, he cut a promo on Mysterio and labeled him the greatest luchador in history. 'The Visionary' is thankful to 'The Master of 619' for everything he did for him and his valuable contribution to the pro wrestling business. He went down on his knee to show respect and handed him the mic. Here is what Rollins said during the promo:

"Thank you for everything you've done for me, and for everyone else in the history of this business. We love you. You're the best."

During the live event, Rollins successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Mysterio's son, Dominik Mysterio. Meanwhile Rey Mysterio alongside his Latino World Order teammates, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde defeated The Imperium (GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci).
