    Angry AEW Dynamite Report/Results - Sep 24, 2025

    AEW Dynamite

This week, after the fallout of AEW’s ALL OUT pay-per-view in Toronto, DYNAMITE returns to the Steel City of Pittsburgh at the Petersen Events Center. The Conglomeration collides with the Don Callis Family in trios action. CEO, GM & Head of Creative Tony Khan has an important announcement.

AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Excalibur welcoming us alongside Taz & Bryan Danielson as he runs down tonight’s card. Backstage we hear comments from Hangman Adam Page saying Kyle Fletcher took him to his absolute limit at All Out, but he’s still the AEW Men’s World Champion. Page can’t wait to see what Fletcher accomplishes in the months and years to follow. Page said he wanted an Open Challenge tonight against the best Pittsburgh has to offer and that’s Lee Moriarty.

    AEW World Tag Team Titles
Brodido (Brody King & ROH Champion Bandido) vs. G.O.A. (Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun w/Ricochet)

(Solid back and forth battle to kick off the show, as Brodido continues to impress, even after the chaotic ladder match last weekend. G.O.A. even in defeat, continue to look better and better as a team and it really does feel like it’s only a matter of time before The Demand have AEW gold, as Ricochet really drove home how they wanted the Trios Titles after beating The Hurt Syndicate at All Out, but couldn’t tonight with Shibata being medically uncleared.)

Ricochet joined commentary as King & Liona locked eyes wanting to go at it first, but Bandido made his case for King to let him start. The speed initially got Bandido a few shots, but Liona swatted him away and used his power to drag him to Kaun, who no sold chops. Bandido nearly hit his gorilla slam, but Kaun floated over into a snap suplex. King screamed encouragement as Bandido was slowly picked apart, while G.O.A. made constant tags. Finally, side stepping a double team, Bandido leapt for a King hot tag, who lit up Kaun & Liona with chops and jabs. King dodged a DVD on the apron, posting Liona before mowing over Kaun with a lariat for two. King wanted a superplex, but was hung up in the Tree of Woe by Kaun, allowing Liona to hit a splash and diving headbutt for a near fall as things went to commercial.

Returning from break, Kaun & Liona planted King with a double back suplex, as King was up, swinging wildly, but ended up trapped in the wrong corner, as he was swarmed. Bandido was launched off the apron, as that brief delay allowed King to dodge attacks, looked for a tag, realized Bandido wasn’t there, so squashed Liona with a corner cannonball instead. Bandido recovered and made the tag, but only Kaun sold the strikes. Dodging the Liona offense quickly, Bandido started dancing to play mind games, as Kaun tried a blindside, but was pressed over Bandido’s head and slammed onto Liona in the corner. Bandido wanted a 21-Plex on Liona, not knowing Kaun made the blind tag, as Liona literally squished Bandido by sitting on him. Locomotion corner splashes led to an attempted double superplex, but King returned and we get a double electric chair. King & Liona brawled ringside, where King missed a cross body against the barricade, as Liona launched King over the time keepers table. With referee Aubrey’s attention turned, Ricochet tried to use a chair, but Aubrey caught him in time and ejected Ricochet. Bandido got an inside cradle for two, but Kaun was up and threw a wild lariat as G.O.A. hit Open the Gates, but King made the save. Liona was wiped out with a Tope by King, as Bandido hit a 21-Plex simultaneously on Kaun to get the pin.

    Winner: Brodido (Retain championships)

    Backstage:
Alicia Atout is with The Conglomeration, as Mark Briscoe yells that he wanted Don Callis to bring his heavy hitters and tonight he did just that. Atout asked who their partner will be, as Briscoe said the Word of the Day is Mystery. No matter how hard you try to appeal or how hard you squeeze, he woke up and asked himself “Orange you glad there’s so many Conglomeration members to choose from?” Briscoe said he could put on some shades to help make his decision, as they all leave, while Kyle O’Reilly calls Atout “Jane”. The camera quickly switched to another Clon vignette when all was over.

    Backstage:
Renee Paquette is backstage with the new AEW Women’s Champion Kris Statlander, but interrupted by Harley Cameron’s over the top intro. Statlander said she’s pretty beat up, but is a fighting champion, so why waste time? Paquette brings up Mina Shirakawa being a close personal friend to Timeless Toni Storm and said she loves Mina, but not like how Storm probably does. Paquette asked Statlander’s association with the Death Riders and after a long pause, Statlander looked at Paquette saying that things can move pretty fast when you make decisions (the same line Jon Moxley said after Daniel Garcia joined Death Riders). Cameron broke the tension by hyping Statlander again and bolting from the shot.

    AEW World Championship
Hangman Adam Page vs. ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty

(Rather quick, but enjoyable competitive match that had Moriarty get in plenty of offense in front of his hometown crowd. Not sure who is next in line at the moment for Page and the AEW Men’s World Title, but the Open Challenge could perhaps lead to an eventual challenger with Wrestle Dream approaching.)

Danielson put over Moriarty on commentary and how he’s defeated technical masters like Nigel McGuinness & Blue Panther. An opening handshake from the two, as Moriarty went for the neck early, but Page turned it into a Test of Strength. Moriarty backed Page to the corner and threw a back elbow to the jaw, as both traded shoulder blocks with Page standing tall. Moriarty dodged a sliding lariat, but Page caught a leap frog into a bodyslam and big boot as we go to commercial.

Back from break, Moriarty connected on a springboard flying forearm, as the hometown crowd are biting for his near falls. Both trade forearms until Page hits a big back body drop and Fall Away Slam into a kip up. Death Valley Driver connects for Page, as Moriarty countered Dead Eye into an Octopus Stretch, transitioning into the Border City Stretch. Page rolled out, tried Dead Eye again, but this time swung for the fences during the counter to turn Moriarty inside out with a lariat. Page finally hit the Dead Eye and got the pin.

Winner: Hangman Adam Page (Retains championship)

    Backstage:
Renee Paquette wanted comments backstage at All Out from Adam Copeland following Beth Copeland taking a Spike Piledriver, but said he can’t talk right now. Walking into his dressing room, Christian Cage asked Copeland what’s the plan, to which Copeland said he doesn’t know if he can do this anymore, he has to go be with family. Cage said he doesn’t have a family anymore, but Copeland said that’s not true, you do. Both shake hands, as Copeland left the arena to tend to his wife.

We hear from FTR live after the break.

    In-Ring:
Tony Schiavone called FTR & Stokely to the ring to explain their heinous actions at All Out, delivering the Spike Piledriver to Beth Copeland. Schiavone told them his opinion doesn’t matter, but it was the most disgusting thing he’s ever seen. Wheeler said they deserve every bit of boos they’re receiving. Their actions at All Out has kept him up at night, as that was never their intentions, it was to end Copeland’s career, sending him into retirement, but Adam Copeland couldn’t stand that. Instead, Copeland brought his childhood friend and wife into the picture and it’s Copeland who is responsible for FTR dropping his wife on her Micro Brawler head.

Stokely said he forgives Beth Copeland for what she did to him at All Out. He wasn’t running up the ramp to attack Beth, it was to shake her hand, but received a Spear instead, which didn’t hurt. Stokely was going to kip up, but was carried to the back, as he ultimately allowed Beth to Spear him. Adam Copeland & Christian needed Beth to win the match, with the worst thing of all is that Beth doesn’t even work here. Harwood refuses to apologize to Adam & Christian for dropping them on their CTE riddled brains, but will to Beth. Despite Beth punching Harwood in his broke nose, it watered his eyes, making him thing Beth was her husband, leading FTR to drop her on her head. Harwood would never put his hands on a woman and with Beth, he uses that term very loosely.

Willow Nightingale interrupted and she gets in the ring, as she said if FTR wrestled as good as they lie, they could’ve won their match at All Out. Nightingale said she’s out to talk about a Hall of Famer in Beth Copeland, who has inspired her and why she became a wrestler. Women like Beth are why she came back from a broken neck to do things like win the TBS Title, the Owen Hart Tournament and is the reason she doesn’t take sh*t from guys like FTR. Nightingale tells them to try their apology with more sincerity or get from the ring. Stokely said it’s past Nightingale’s bedtime and said there’s episodes of Proud Family she could be home watching, as Nightingale slapped the hell out of Stokely before JetSpeed sprinted out. FTR faked leaving before trying a cheap shot, but ate superkicks for their troubles. Stokely was pulled to safety before Nightingale could do any damage to him.

    Video Package:
MJF had post-match comments at All Out saying he was so angry right now, but doesn’t have the energy to yell anymore. Not long ago, he was the biggest name in wrestling, then Adam Cole came into his life, broke his ankle and subsequently MJF’s heart. Then MJF lost his AEW World Title, his mojo and went and rehabbed. MJF still has accomplished more than anyone could dream of in this time frame, but something is missing, he’s just playing MJF, who has made too many mistakes. Creating doubt after doubt, the tacks in his body are doubts, as he can’t come back until he can look in the mirror and not see a fraud. Ospreay, Strickland & Hangman, they were once in his dust, but now he’s in theirs. He won’t come back until he’s the most dangerous he’s ever been. Picking a tack out of his arm, MJF said there’s times where he bit off more than he could chew, but he ate it up and spit it out. MJF is going to come back and do things the only way he knows how, whether you like it or not, his way.

AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita & Hechicero (w/ Don Callis & Rocky Romero) vs. Mark Briscoe, Hologram & Orange Cassidy

(Majority of this match was Hologram & Hechicero, who had a really good back and forth throughout. It wasn’t until the finishing stretch that Okada, Takeshita, Briscoe & Cassidy really got involved, as they continue slowly teasing the cracks between Okada & Takeshita and also had Cassidy hit some of his signature moves in his return. The post-match sets the stage for Hologram to finally get something out of his win streak and it comes next week in the form of a TNT Title match with Kyle Fletcher.)

Pre-match, Callis said he’s not only a world class manager, but a world class painter and has his past paintings on the big screen. Callis said he’s been painting the last six days and nights, tonight unveiling his masterpiece, as it’s so big, they had to roll it out. Callis said all the great artists will rollover in their graves. The painting is rolled out, but as the curtain lowered, Orange Cassidy was standing in the middle of a broken painting. Cassidy side-stepped a charging Romero, as Briscoe & Hologram hit the ring and went at Hechicero. While Cassidy’s music kept playing, he hit a few dropkicks on Takeshita & Okada, who were able to send Cassidy outside, but Briscoe & Hologram turned the tables, hitting stereo dives until Cassidy, fell from the top onto the pile.

The bell officially rang to start the match, as Briscoe & Hologram hit 10 corner punches on Hechicero, while Cassidy contributed one for good measure. Fast sequence with Hechicero & Hologram, who hit a series of arm drags until Hechicero hit a running corner pump knee and reverse monkey flip into the submission. Spinning TKO from Hechicero put him in control heading to commercial.

Back from break, Callis said everything is great in the Family, while Hologram connected on a head scissors on Hechicero & Takeshita, as Okada ran in and cleared Briscoe & Cassidy. Hologram flipped out of a German Suplex, diving for a Briscoe hot tag, who ran wild hitting flying forearms and Fisherman’s Buster on Okada for two. Flying lariat from Briscoe led to a Cassidy tag, as he hugged his former CHAOS running buddy Okada before planting him with a Stundog Millionaire. Cassidy tried one on Takeshita, but was caught, as he was passed off to Okada, who delivered an Air Raid Crash knee. Hologram tried a springboard, but leapt into an Okada flapjack before Okada & Takeshita had a face-off. It was interrupted by Cassidy little kicks, leading to a double hurricanrana. Hechicero cut off Cassidy with a Mad Scientist Bomb and guillotine head scissors on Hologram, but Cassidy came back in with a spinning DDT. Okada flew in with a shotgun dropkick, but Briscoe planted him with a DDT of his own. Takeshita in with a Power Drive Knee, as Hologram met him with an float over Cazadora, but was caught into a Bastard Driver. Takeshita held on, but Hologram countered into a Destroyer. Hechicero wanted another Mad Scientist Bomb on Hologram, who floated out of it, Cassidy flew in with an Orange Punch, allowing Hologram to plant Hechicero with a Portal Bomb and the pin. We’re told Hologram is now 34-0 in AEW.

Winner: Mark Briscoe, Hologram & Orange Cassidy

    After the match:
Kyle Fletcher comes to the stage and said it’s good to see Cassidy back, but Briscoe, not so much. At All Out, Fletcher proved he belongs in the main event and tippy top of the industry, as he’ll be ready one day very soon and future AEW Men’s World Champion. Hangman Page was right about one thing, the next morning was the worst Fletcher has felt his entire left, never feeling so crushed and defeated, but looked in the mirror and remembered who the hell he is. Fletcher is on track of being the greatest TNT Champion of all time that sees a bunch of dorks in the ring, but also opportunity. Hologram has the longest undefeated streak of any man in AEW history 34-0, but more like 34 and scared of Kyle Fletcher, as it’s the only reason his streak has lasted so long. Fletcher can’t think of a better way to get on the horse than to beat Hologram next week on the Anniversary episode of Dynamite, Title vs. Streak. We’re told that match is made official by Tony Khan for next week.

    Backstage:
Renee Paquette is backstage with Mina Shirakawa who says since Saturday she hasn’t heard from Toni Storm. They made a promise they love and fight hard and tonight, she fights for Toni, fights for Mina and fights to win the AEW Women’s Title.

    Video Package:
Vignette we saw from All Out of Jack Perry digging up and nursing Luchasaurus back to health, while this time Jurassic Express highlights were shown. Perry’s voiceover said life is uncertain and fragile, it can change in the blink of an eye. It can be lost of who they thought they’d become and the dreams could turn into nightmares; victims aren’t we all? Or are we more? Can we choose to be better, stronger, can we hear the call once more? Pick ourselves up to ride again. We’re told Jurassic Express returns next week on the 6 Year Anniversary of Dynamite.

AEW Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Both made entrances from the crowd, as Hobbs charged right at the bell, as Castagnoli responded with uppercuts, while Meat chants rang out from the crowd. It happened so long both were stumbling before Hobbs started dishing out bodyslams aplenty. Three, until Castagnoli floated over into a back suplex, which Hobbs no sold and ramped up the bodyslams again. Castagnoli went at the eyes until both tumbled to the outside. With Castagnoli placed against the steps, Hobbs charged, but Castagnoli moved and Hobbs crashed hard. A brutal back suplex onto the edge of the barricade had Hobbs falling back over into the crowd, as Castagnoli repeated the spot back to the ringside floor as things went to picture in picture.

Back from break, a powerful gut-wrench from Castagnoli got a near fall, but as forearms were thrown, Hobbs started to rise and fight back. Hobbs hit two corner splashes, but Castagnoli moved on the third to take Hobbs up the ropes for a huge superplex. Castagnoli pointed at Bryan Danielson as he went for a Neutralizer, but Hobbs escaped into a snap powerslam. Meat lariats in the corner, as Hobbs once again went back to the bodyslams, but Castagnoli fought off during the fourth attempt. Hobbs absorbed lariats before cracking Castagnoli with one of his own. The straps lowered as PAC then appeared on the apron. Hobbs got ahold of him, allowing Castagnoli to get an uppercut and inside cradle for the win.

    Winner: Claudio Castagnoli

    After the match:
Samoa Joe ran out, as PAC ran for his life. Hobbs recovered in the ring and sent Castagnoli crashing outside, as Joe started stalking him down until Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia ran in to attack. PAC returned and it’s 4 on 2 until Hangman Page’s music hit and he power walked to the ring. Page low bridged Castagnoli and sent Garcia over the top with a clothesline as Page stood tall with Joe & Hobbs while the Death Riders retreated.

    Backstage:
We go backstage to AEW President Tony Khan, who said they’re having such a great 2025 and AEW is where the best wrestle, especially the women’s division. It’s time to introduce new championships and coming very soon, they will crown the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Champions. Khan throws it to Renee Paquette who is ringside for the official unveiling of the titles, which look just like the Men’s Titles. Paquette can’t wait to see who makes history as the first Women’s Tag Team Title holders, then throws it to Justin Roberts for the introductions of the main event Women’s Title match.

    AEW Women’s Championship
Kris Statlander (c) vs. Interim ROH Women’s TV Champion Mina Shirakawa

(Solid main event, that gave Shirakawa plenty of chances to win and look strong, but there was no way Statlander was losing in her first title defense. The Seatbelt Pin again benefits the champ, as the post-match I thought was great and I’m glad they aren’t slow building a will she/won’t she with Statlander longer than they needed. I look forward in seeing where they go with her in the future and also how Moxley and crew handle the rejection.)

Wheeler Yuta popped up ringside before the match started to give advice to Statlander and was gone just as quickly, as Bryan Danielson said it was taking all of his strength not to go punch him in the face. Tilt-a-whirl leg sweep from Shirakawa, as she slid through a Statlander punch to do a dance, which resulted in Statlander clocking her from behind. Shirakawa fired off 10 corner punches, but again, danced too much, as Statlander flew in with a shotgun dropkick. Shirakawa side-stepped a corner charge and wrenched the knee through the ropes before violently driving the knee from the apron to the floor. Statlander was sent repeatedly into the steps, until Shirakawa hit a Tornillo off the steps. Statlander answered with a back suplex on the apron as things went to commercial.

Back from break, Shirakawa battled back with a head scissors and Sling Blade before hitting a Tornado DDT. Shirakawa was cut off in the corner, as Statlander answered with a running knee, as both traded finisher attempts, with Glamourous Driver & Staturday Night Fever cut off until Statlander hit her spinning Fisherman’s Driver for two. Dragon Screws to the knee by Shirakawa, who went up top for an Avalanche Sling Blade and near fall. Shirakawa loads up for a discus forearm and roundhouse kick, but Statlander avoided the backfist, tried an Electric Chair, but Shirakawa escaped into the Figure Four. Statlander fought to the ropes to get the break, as Shirakawa went for another Sling Blade, but ran into a thrust kick. Discus forearms decked Statlander, followed by the backfist, as Shirakawa went back for the Figure Four, but Statlander punted her with an up kick. The Seatbelt Pin again was applied and Statlander got the flash pin.

Post-match, Yuta returned and was hyped, as Harley Cameron ran to the ring and hugged Statlander. Claudio Castagnoli, PAC & Daniel Garcia surrounded ringside, until Jon Moxley & Marina Shafir made their entrance through the crowd. Yuta kept applauding Statlander, who had Cameron stay behind her. Moxley got in the ring, as Yuta hugged Statlander and she reciprocated the hug. Yuta raised her hand, as Cameron backed to the corner, but Statlander waffled Yuta with a clothesline. Statlander ducked a charging Shafir, flipped off Moxley and bailed through the crowd with Cameron.

The music for Darby Allin hit and out came Allin to the stage with a flamethrower. Moxley showed no fear and started walking at Allin, who pointed the flamethrower at him, backing the Death Riders off and Moxley stumbling over the ring steps before retreating in the crowd. Allin took the mic and told Moxley he’s never going to quit and challenges Moxley to an I Quit Match at Wrestle Dream. Moxley was left contemplating the challenge and a very uncomfortable smile as we’re told next week Allin & Statlander face Yuta & Shafir.

    Winner: Kris Statlander (Retains championship)
