Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre make their Saturday Night's Main Event match official

What is in store for Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre when they take part in a Contract Signing just one night before their title rematch at Saturday Night's Main Event?




— We kick off SmackDown with clips of Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair, and Jade Cargill arriving at the arena earlier today.

— Tiffany Stratton makes her way to the ring with no intro. She says she has a bone to pick with Jade Cargill and calls out Cargill. Nick Aldis comes out and asks Stratton if she thinks it's smart to call out Cargill. Stratton says she doesn't care and calls out Cargill. Cargill comes out and Aldis makes sure security is around because Stratton isn't medically cleared. Cargill says a couple weeks ago she was busted open and it made her realize what she wants. She tells Stratton she will lose her title tomorrow and Stratton leaves the ring to attack Cargill but security keeps them away.

— A video package for Ilja Dragunov plays and he'll have another open challenge.

— Motor City Machine Guns are backstage with R-Truth dressed as Santa. Solo Sikoa comes by and asks Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley about how they called out the MFTs. Sabin suggests they all fight and Sikoa thinks it's a great idea.

Tommaso Ciampa comes out before the match and is annoyed that Nathan Frazer gets a shot. Dragunov says Frazer was here first so he gets the shot.


WWE United States Champion Open Challenge: Ijla Dragunov (c) vs. Nathan Frazer

We get the bell and Frazer knees Dragunov and chops him in the corner. Dragunov chops Frazer in the corner and Irish Whips him to the other end. Frazer kicks Dragunov and Dragunov is knocked out of the ring. Frazer jumps through the ropes and takes out Dragunov. Dragunov is tossed back in the ring, Frazer gets caught and Dragunov puts Frazer in a waistlock. Frazer zips around the ring, Dragunov knocks him down and covers him for a near fall. Dragunov takes control and drops Frazer in the corner. Dragunov is guillotined on the ropes and Dragunov knocks Frazer from the ring and he crashes against the announce desk. Dragunov slams Frazer outside the ring and we cut to commercial.

Back to the match, Farzer is chopped in the corner several times, Dragunov German Suplexes Frazer a couple times. Frazer counters a third German Suplex. Frazer hits a running shooting star and a neck breaker and covers Dragunov for a two count. Both men punch each other in the middle of the ring, Frazer connects with a few punches and Frazer kicks down Dragunov. Dragunov slams down Frazer and covers for a near fall. Dragunov and Frazer trade chops, kicks and knees. Dragunov falls out of the ring and Frazer comes off the top rope and jumps into a right hand by Dragunov. Dragunov climbs the ropes and misses a Senton, allowing Frazer to come off the top rope with a Frog Splash and Dragunov kicks out at two.

We come back from a commercial break, Dragunov covers Frazer who kicks out at two. Frazer and Dragunov trade kicks and punches. Dragunov tries to powerbomb Frazer counters and sets Dragunov on the top rope. Frazer goes for a hurricanrana and Dragunov tries to counter but Frazer hits it. Frazer beats Dragunov outside the ring and sends him back in the ring. Dragunov is hit with a Phoenix Splash and we get a near fall. Frazer mounts Dragunov and punches him several times. Frazer climbs the ropes again, Dragunov meets him there. Dragunov is knocked off and get chops Frazer and climbs up too. Dragunov hits a top rope German Suplex and covers for a near fall. Frazer landed on his head. Both men punch each other and Dragunov hits a powerbomb and H-Bomb and gets the win.

— After the match, Tommaso Ciampa runs down attacks Nathan Frazer.

— We come back from commercial break, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Ilja Dragunov, Axiom, and Nathan Frazer all fight backstage. Dragunov breaks the right and Tama Tonga shows up and taunts him.

Kit Wilson vs. Carmelo Hayes

Wilson throws his shirt and Hayes at the bell and the two go at it. Hayes chops Wilson in the corner and Wilson connects with a running elbow. Wilson kicks Hayes and hits neckbreaker DDT and Hayes kicks out at two. Wilson punches Hayes and goes for a suplex but Hayes counters and hits a springboard clotheslines. Hayes hits a facebuster and covers Wilson for two. Wilson rolls out of the ring and Hayes flies out and takes him out. The Miz runs down and takes out Hayes behind the refs back. Wilson hits a flying elbow and Hayes kicks out. Hayes hits 1st48 and gets the win.

Winner: Carmelo Hayes

— After the match, The Miz attacks Hayes.

— Cathy Kelley talks to Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. They talk about Nia Jax not having friends and being delusional.

— Sami Zayn talks to Nick Aldis. Aldis tells Zayn he's not cleared and tells Zayn he can't be near the ring. Cody Rhodes comes by and Zayn wishes him luck tomorrow and leaves. Aldis asks Rhodes if he had anything to do with Jacob Fatu's attack.

Nia Jax vs. Alexa Bliss (w/Charlotte Flair)

Jax bulldozes Bliss off the bell and beats her in the corner. Jax squishes her some more in the corner. Jax sits Bliss on the top rope, Bliss jumps onto the back but is slammed down. Bliss runs into Jax and is knocked down. Jax headbutts Bliss and then misses an elbow. Jax throws Bliss into the ring post and Bliss kicks Jax off the apron. Outside the ring, Jax slams Bliss into the barricade and we cut to a commercial break.

Back to SmackDown, Jax has Bliss on the mat and chokes her out. Bliss is splashed into the corner twice and Bliss then takes down Jax. Bliss kicks Jax down and covers her after a cross body. Jax collides with the steel post and Bliss hits an X-Factor. Bliss climbs the ropes and Jax grabs her and hits a Samoan Drop and covers for a near fall. Bliss goes to the outside and Jax joins her. Flair and Jax gets into each other's faces. Jax brings Bliss in the ring and goes for Annihilator. Flair distracts Jax, allowing Bliss to get the win.

Winner: Alexa Bliss

— Solo Sikoa walks backstage with The MFTs and they come across Rey Fenix. Fenix wants to fight Talla Tonga. Sikoa agrees and Fenix slaps Tonga.

— A video package for Damian Priest plays and he calls out Aleister Black.

— Tiffany Stratton walks backstage with Nick Aldis. She tells Aldis that she'll still wrestling even tho she's injured. Kiana James and Giulia come by and tells her Tiffy Time will be over tomorrow. Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre come in and Green says she wants match with Giulia. Aldis agrees. Nikki Cross is seen behind them being creepy and she scares Green and Fyre.

The MFTs (Tama Tonga & JC Mateo) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)

Mateo slams Shelley into the corner and starts punching Shelley. Shelley kicks Mateo and chops him. Sabin is tagged in and Mateo is double teamed and covered for a quick one count. Tonga is tagged in and Sabin is double teamed. Tonga beats down Sabin, Shelley is tagged in. Tonga is double clotheslined and Mateo and Tonga are sent out of the ring. MCMG jump the ropes and take out Mateo and Tonga. Back in the ring, Tonga slams down Sabin. Shelley is tagged in, Tonga is double teamed. Shelley covers and Tonga kicks out right away.

Back to the match, Mateo knocks down Shelley. Tonga is tagged in and Shelley is double teamed and covered. Shelley kicks out and Tonga slaps him in a headlock. Shelley fights out and Mateo is tagged in. Shelley punches both Mateo and Tonga and hits a flatliner on Mateo in the corner. Tonga tags in and Sabin tags in. Sabin hits a missile drop kick on Tonga and then hits a DDT on Mateo. Sabin hits a second rope DDT on Tonga and covers him for a near fall. Shelley is tagged in and sends Tonga over the top rope. Shelley hits a baseball slide and Sabin takes out Mateo and Tonga with a suicide dive. MCMG double team Tonga and Sikoa distracts the ref allowing Loa to knock Shelley off the top rope. Tonga hits The Cutthroat and gets the win.

Winners: MFTs

— After the match The MFTs get in the ring and they beat up MCMG. Rey Fenix comes out and kicks Talla Tonga and then hits a missile dropkick on Tonga. Tonga kicks down Fenix and the other MFTs beat on Fenix. Shinsuke Nakamura comes out to make the save. He takes out Mateo and Tama Tonga but Talla Tonga takes Nakamura down with a chokeslam.

— Nick Aldis is backstage and he asks Drew McIntyre if he has any issues with the contract Aldis gave him. McIntyre tells Aldis to relax and says all is well.

— Nick Aldis is in the ring for the contract signing. Cody Rhodes comes out first and Rhodes wishes everyone a Happy Halloween and Aldis calls out Drew McIntyre. Aldis asks both men to sign the contract. McIntyre goes to sign and then says he cannot sign it. Rhodes then takes the contract and signs it. Aldis asks why McIntyre won't sign it. McIntyre says it's lopsided and he won't sign it. Aldis says its a normal match contract and to sign it. McIntyre says if he is counted out and disqualified, Rhodes keeps the title. If Rhodes is counted out or disqualified, Rhodes keeps the title. It's lopsided. Aldis tells McIntyre if he won't sign it, there are several men backstage who will. McIntyre says "get one of them" and starts to leave. Rhodes tells McIntyre to sit down. McIntyre obliges. Rhodes tells McIntyre he'll do it under his conditions. Aldis objects and Rhodes asks Aldis to let McIntyre sign as this feud needs to end. McIntyre signs the contract after Aldis agrees as well. McIntyre says he's sad and happy. He says he and Rhodes should be best friends as McIntyre wrote the blueprint as to how to finish his story. McIntyre says he's worked hard and says he's the real American Dream. Rhodes talks about how McIntyre did reinvent himself and he agrees that McIntyre did make the blueprint and WWE called him to come back. Rhodes says the difference is he walked when he wasn't happy, McIntyre got fired and wishes McIntyre the best of luck tomorrow. Rhodes says nice guys used to finish last until he showed up. McIntyre stops Rhodes from leaving and tells Rhodes the crowd will turn on him like they did with him. McIntyre tells Rhodes that instead of parading in front of the crowds he should be spending time with his daughters. Rhodes snaps and goes for McIntyre who flees the ring. Aldis scolds Rhodes and Rhodes pushes Aldis out of the way and catches a Claymore from McIntyre. McIntyre clears the table and powerbombs Rhodes through the table. McIntyre poses with Rhodes' title and we get the end credits.
