Episode #209 - Taped in New York/USA

Show opens with the announcement of two confirmed matches for the upcoming Pride PPV; Fight Of The Following. Those matches are; Kip Sabian Vs Tonny Deppen (Their rubber match here on Pride) and a tag team contest between long time rivals Bear Country and Varsity Blondes, with the stipulation that the winners will get their contracts re-newed, while the losers will have to pack their bags and leave EAM! Not only that, but later tonight, we will hear from James Mitchell, manager of former Pride Champion; Mil Muertes, about the upcoming rematch for The Pride Championship against Aaron Stevens. But before that, we have some real rasslin' for you! We cut to the Pride vignette...

Going to be a lot of emotion over the next few weeks I think. Maybe not the strongest or biggest Pride PPV ever but important with all the contracts and rumors swirling around about the future of PRIDE.

Tag Team Matchup
Shaun Davis & JD Drake Vs Lee Moriarty & Ace Romero

An okay match from both teams. The two big men fight it out. Lee with some fast most. Drake and Romero could make a big tag team. Could even fight Heavy. At the end of the match Romero gets the win following a pounce on Davis.

We get a promo package next, showing the historic reign of Heavy Machinery as Pride Tag Team Champions. Not only are they the tag team to hold the Pride Tag Team Titles the longest, but they have actually broken KENTA & Kenta's old record (although that was The EAM Tag Team Titles) Who will be their next opponents? And who will be able do dethrone them? Or will anyone ever be able to? We then get the announcement that Otis and Tucker will be attending the show tomorrow night at The Barclays Center, and they have been given some air-time, as they have something they want to tell everyone. But until then, let's get back to the show.

Really have no idea what they can do next. Definitely wasn’t the plan from the beginning for it to be this long but it happened. Maybe Tucker vs Otis for both titles?. Merge into a new single title, merge with the EAM tag titles, or if they do retire the titles then maybe they could defend them in the future, every year or at Grandslam. An idea.

Tag Team Matchup
Besties In The World (Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett) Vs The Anti-Fun Police (Chief Deputy Dunne & Los Federales Santos Jr.)

Okay match from both teams. Good action from all men involved. Signature double team moves throughout also. At the end of the match it’s the Anti Fun police that get the win. Neither of these teams are the best though.

Before our main event, we go backstage where we hook up with Mil Muertes and The Sinister Minister; James Mitchell. They are in a gloomy lit room, filled with glowing candles and a big pentagram on the floor. Mitchell talks about provoking demons, and that Stevens have no idea what he has unleashed. And you have just summoned The Man Of Thousand Deaths! Mil does a chocking gesture towards the camera while growling " Steeeeeveeeens! I'm coooming for yooouuuu! "

Good promo. Maybe Mil could change gimmick to Banderas or El. Originally the idea for the character. Maybe Minister will turn on Mil and help Sandow!. Unlikely.

Singles Matchup
Ilja Dragunov Vs Ricky Starks

Solid main event from the both of them. Back and forth match also. Signature and finishing moves. Springboard 450 by Starks. Ilja with a dropkick and headbutt. Starks with a springboard elbow drop. Ilja with a standing choke and that is it. Ilja gets the win.
