Former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley will not be in attendance for July 5 edition of AEW Dynamite. He's advertised for the show, so expect this to be a pre-taped segment.

Dynamite will be in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada this coming Wednesday, but Moxley will be halfway across the world. The Blackpool Combat Club member is scheduled to compete for New Japan Pro Wrestling at their 'NJPW Strong Independence Day' shows on July 4th and 5th:

  • Night 1: Jon Moxley & Homicide vs. Jun Kasai and El Desperado in a No Disqualification Doomsday Match
  • Night 2: Jon Moxley vs. El Desperado in a Final Death Match

Moxley and the BCC are currently embroiled in a feud with The Elite. These two factions will collide on Wednesday, July 19 when AEW presents the third-annual Blood and Guts match live on Dynamite fro Boston's TD Garden arena.

Blood and Guts will see The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, and "Hangman" Adam Page) vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli), and Konosuke Takeshita.
