AEW Dynamite viewership increased on September 20 for their Grand Slam special.

According to Wrestlenomics, 984,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.36 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode when 888,000 viewers tuned in. The demo is also up from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.31 rating in the same demographic.

AEW Dynamite once again placed number one on cable last night.

This week’s show kicked off with Eddie Kingston defeating Claudio Castagnoli to become the new Ring of Honor World Champion.

The next match of the show saw Chris Jericho defeat Sammy Guevara. Following the match, Guevara turned on Jericho and joined the Don Callis family.

Elsewhere on the show, Rey Fenix defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW International Championship. Saraya also defeated Toni Storm to retain the AEW Women’s Championship.

In the main event, MJF defeated Samoa Joe to retain the AEW World Championship. Joe begrudgingly shook MJF’s hand following the match.
