CM Punk and AJ Lee to come face-to-face with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch

Over the past two weeks, the reemergence of AJ Lee has only served to fuel the explosive rivalry between CM Punk and the devious duo of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch. As they prepare to square up in a highly-anticipated Mixed Tag Team Match showdown at Wrestlepalooza, the two power couples will come face-to-face on Raw.





– Joe Tessitore and Corey Graves greet audiences at home before throwing it to a video of what happened between The Vision, The Usos, and LA Knight last Monday.

– We then see The Usos arrive at the arena, but LA Knight confronts him until "Raw" General Manager Adam Pearce breaks things apart.

– Over at ringside, John Cena makes his way to the ring.

Cena says it's an incredible night, then says he gets to come back to "Raw" in Springfield. He says he sees a lot of young fans who may not know he played football at Springfield College as an offensive lineman, then says his family made the trip to Springfield and wishes his niece Ashley a happy birthday.

Cena says his signature ring announcement is meant for the fans to voice their respect from him, then says he needs everything he get with the hill he has to climb ahead of him. He says the words "the last real champion" mean a lot to him, then says Brock Lesnar wants to put an end to that. He says Lesnar is intimidating and controversial, then says he could've said no to Lesnar and kept his health, but he fights all his battles in front of the fans. He says for him, "the last real champion" isn't about a belt, but leaving WWE better than he found it, operating with hustle, loyalty, and respect, and giving it all you have. He admits to being afraid of Lesnar and says he could fail, but he won't back down or give up. He says himself the fans will take the fight to "The Beast Incarnate", then says he doesn't care how many suplexes are in his city because he founded Suplex City. He tells Lesnar to come and get some if he wants it.

– LA Knight, Jey Uso and Adam Pearce are backstage. Knight and Uso argue and Pearce tries to get them on the same page and asks them how to keep the peace tonight. Knight says he wants a piece of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Pearce agrees and tells Knight he needs a partner. Knight chooses Jimmy Uso and Jey gets upset as he feels it's a low blow picking his brother.

Roxanne Perez (w/ Raquel Rodriguez) vs. Lyra Valkyria

The bell rings and the two go back and forth. Valkyria runs over Perez with a shotgun dropkick, but Rodriguez trips Valkyria as she runs the ropes. The referee catches Rodrigues and ejects her from ringside, but Perez rolls up Valkyria. Valkyria kicks out with the referee having begun the count late, then lands a kick on Perez through the middle rope and dumps her back inside the ring. She ascends to the top rope, but Perez trips her and rains down right hands on her.

Perez drapes Valkyria across the bottom turnbuckle and stomps on her spine during the commercial break, then whips her into the corner and connects with a springboard moonsault on her off the middle rope. Valkyria lands a belly-to-belly suplex on Perez, then lands a gut wrench powerbomb on Perez back from the break. She ascends to the top, but Perez rolls onto the apron to get out of the way. Perez responds with a Frankensteiner on Valkyria off the top rope and delivers a knee to the back of her neck, but Valkyria manages to deliver Night Wing to Perez for the win.

Winner: Lyra Valkyria

– As Valkyria heads to the back, Rodriguez comes back out and attacks Valkyria. Valkyria is booted in the ring and Perez hits PopRox on Valkyria. Bayley runs out and starts punching Rodriguez and then slams down Perez. Bayley takes out Rodriguez and then takes out Perez leaving her in the ring with Valkyria. Valkyria is confused and doesn't know what to do and Bayley starts holding her head as if she has switched personas and then runs out to hug Joe Tessitore, Corey Graves, Alicia Taylor, Jessica Carr, and audience members dropping hints that she's now Hugger Bayley.

– Stephanie Vaquer, Adam Pearce and Iyo Sky are backstage. They talk about their match on Saturday. Karia Sane and Asuka come in and Asuka says no one is ready for Iyo, and Vaquer tells Asuka to get out of her face. Asuka says tonight Vaquer will face Kairi Sane and Sane first is reluctant and then gets in the fighting spirit. Asuka leaves and then yells and Sane to follow her.

– We then head backstage, where LA Knight approaches Jimmy Uso and informs him that he's chosen him to team up to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Jimmy turns down Knight, telling him that he already has the chance to get his hands on Reed and Breakker at Wrestlepalooza.

– Back at ringside, New Day and Grayson Waller then make their way to the ring. Penta follows.

Kofi Kingston (w/ Xavier Woods and Grayson Waller) vs. Penta

The bell rings and Kingston slides out of the ring. Penta follows him out there and chases him back inside, then lands a superkick on him that sends him crashing back out of the ring and flies over the top rope to level him on the outside. He dumps Kingston back in the ring, but Kingston delivers a kick to Penta that sends him crashing out of the ring. Penta levels Waller, but Kingston takes him out with a kick to him off the apron and follows it up with a splash off it and onto the floor.

During the commercial break, Kingston dumps Penta back inside the ring and continues to wear him down. Back from the break, Penta lands a hurricanrana on Kingston and follows it up with a modified Bronco Buster, then goes for a pin but Kingston kicks out. Penta and Kingston then exchange knee strikes with one another, but Woods distracts the referee. Waller looks to blindside Penta from behind, but Penta sees him coming and connects with a kick to level him. He then connects with a springboard Mexican Destroyer on Kingston for the win.

Winner: Penta

– Jey Uso is on the phone backstage. Jimmy Uso comes up and asks who he was talking to, Jey says it doesn't matter. Jey then tells Jimmy he has to say no to LA Knight about being his partner. Jimmy doesn't like that Jey says he has to do this... and Jey says they need to focus on their match on Saturday. Jimmy says he said no to Knight but he won't take orders from Jey. He tells Jey there is no Ula Fala around his neck and he shouldn't be barking orders at him.

– Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch are seen walking backstage heading to the ring for their face to face with AJ Lee and CM Punk.

– We come back from a commercial break and Jimmy storms up to LA Knight and tells Knight he'll be his partner.

– Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch make their way to the ring.

The live crowd chants for Punk as Rollins says he was going to say Springfield's name but he's now going to ignore him. He instead welcomes Netflix to Monday Night Rollins, then introduces himself and Lynch as the fans chant for Lee, but before she can continue, Lee's music hits and she makes her way to the ring with Punk.

Punk says he doesn't need to talk behind Rollins and Lynch's back, then says not only do Rollins and Lynch have matching outfits, but they also share a brain cell and have big egos. Rollins tells Punk that he's the most self involved person he's ever met, then says he's going to do something selfless and says he'll give Punk credit for making the best decision in his personal life by marrying Lee. He says as far as business is concerned, bringing Lee back into the fold is a mistake he'll regret for the rest of his days.

Lee tells Rollins that the mistake was his for using his wife as a human shield, but Lynch says no one expected Lee to come back and says what she really can't believe is how irresponsible Punk is. She calls herself the greatest female wrestler of all time and she's not the only person who says it, then points out Lee's previous neck injury.

Lee says she doesn't know how her neck will hold up, but tells Rollins that he made a plan and used his wife as a backup plan. She says you can't predict something you didn't plan for, and Rollins expresses his confidence in being able to handle Lee. He says he may not be able to predict Lee, but he can read Punk like a book and says he has a nasty habit of leaving when things get him down. He says on Saturday when Lynch rips her into shreds, she better hope that Punk doesn't leave her too.

Lee slaps Rollins, but Rollins says he would never put his hands on a lady. He gestures to Lynch to take care of Lee, but Lynch begins arguing with Rollins, clearly not being on the same page. Rollins tells Lynch that this is her fault, and Lynch storms up the ramp as she tells Rollins that he got them into this. Rollins slaps Punk, and Punk chases him around the ring. Lynch takes advantage and delivers a Man Handle Slam to Lee before she slaps Punk and kisses Rollins to reveal that it was all a ruse.

– Byron Saxton talks to Dominik Mysterio about El Grande Americano. Mysterio says who cares about that but that he should be celebrating how Mysterio is a double champ. We hear a commotion backstage and see The New Day beating up Penta. The War Raiders come to Penta's aide but The New Day take off.

– Back at ringside, El Grande Americano makes his way out. Dragon Lee follows.

El Grande Americano vs. Dragon Lee

The bell rings and Lee goes straight after Americano. Americano gains the upper hand on Lee and delivers a senon to him, then follows it up with a running knee. Lee delivers a kick to Americano's face, and Lee lands a hurricanrana on Americano off the ring apron. Lee flies through the middle rope to send Americano crashing over the announce desk, then dumps him back in the ring and goes for a pin. Americano kicks out.

Americano fires off stomps on Lee, then connects with a shotgun dropkick on him and stomps on the back of his neck during the commercial break using the bottom rope. Lee delivers a Liger Bomb to Americano back from the break and goes for a pin, but Americano kicks out. Lee lands a double stomp on Americano's chest off the top rope as he's draped by his knees and looks to unmask Americano, but a second Americano appears and lands an enzuigiri on Lee from the apron. AJ Styles runs down to the ring and looks for the second Americano, finding him under the ring and firing off right hands. A third Americano appears and distracts the referee, allowing the second referee to shove Lee off the top rope and the first Americano to cinch in a submission on Lee for the win.

Winner by submission: El Grande Americano

– Lyra Valkyria walks to Bayley's locker room. Bayley is heard arguing with herself and it's like she's talking to three people. Valkyria enters and Bayley is sitting all relaxed and she asks Bayley who she's talking to. Valkyria thanks Bayley for helping her. Bayley yells at Valkyria and tells her to stay out of her locker room.

– Stephanie Vaquer is backstage and Rhea Ripley comes up to her and tells her regardless of who wins the title, she's coming for it. Vaquer says she's ready.

– Stephanie Vaquer makes her way to the ring. Kairi Sane and Asuka follow.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Kairi Sane (w/ Asuka)

The bell rings and the two lock up. They go back and forth with one another, but Sane lands a hurricanrana on Vaquer. Vaquer fires off headbutts on Sane in the corner during the commercial break and delivers a suplex to her, then wears her down with a submission hold. Sane uses the ropes to wear Vaquer down, but Vaquer delivers a meteora to Sane. Sane levels Vaquer with a double ax handle, then looks to fly off the top rope. Vaquer moves out of the way, then lands a dropkick on Sane before she rolls her up. Sane kicks out.

Sane ascends to the top rope and Vaquer joins her up there. Sane drapes Vaquer off the top rope by her knees and lands a double stomp on her chest, then lands a pair of spinning backfists on her. Vaquer lands a crossbody off the top rope on the outside of the ring to level Sane and Asuka on the outside, then dumps Sane back in the ring and connects with the Devil's Kiss on her. She follows it up with a double underhook style double knees to Sane for the win.

Winner: Stephanie Vaquer

– After the match, Asuka looks to square up to Vaquer. Before anything can happen, IYO SKY's music hits and she runs down to the ring to prevent Asuka from attacking Vaquer. An unhappy Asuka decides to back down and helps Sane up as SKY stares down Vaquer in the ring and the pair shake hands.

– A video package with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed plays. They talk about how they'll demolish The Usos at Wrestlepalooza.

– Asuka, Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky are backstage. Sane holds back Asuka while she yells at Sky. Sky says she wants to do this by herself and Asuka takes offense to this and leaves. Sane looks to apologize to Sky and Asuka yells for Sane who runs to Asuka.

– The Judgement Day celebrates backstage - they share champagne to honor Dominik Mysterio. Finn Balor says Mysterio should not be so celebratory as Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez had a bad night. Rodriguez says they can handle themselves. Balor has an issue with Mysterio's relationship with El Grande Americano. Balor has an issue with the friendship and says next time look to Americano for help and not The Judgement Day. Rusev comes up to Mysterio to tell him he's the next Intercontinental Champion.

– LA Knight and Jimmy Uso then make their way to the ring. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed follow.

Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed vs. LA Knight and Jimmy Uso

Breakker and Jimmy begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. They go back and forth before Reed tags in and Jimmy catches him with an enzuigiri. Knight tags in and sends Reed crashing into the middle turnbuckle face first, then tags Jimmy back in. Jimmy lands a Hip Attack on Reed and sends Breakker crashing out of the ring to join Reed.

During the commercial break, Reed slides back in the ring but Jimmy fires off chops on Reed. Jimmy catches Reed with a back elbow, then uses the bottom rope to wear him down and tags in Breakker. Breakker fires off a right hand on Jimmy's midsection, then tags in Reed back from the commercial break.

Reed wears down Jimmy, then tags Breakker back in. Breakker lands a suplex on Jimmy, but Jimmy manages to tag in Knight. Knight delivers a neckbreaker to Breakker, but Reed and Jimmy tag in. Jimmy delivers a superkick on Reed. He follows it up with a spear as Breakker lands a shoulder tackle on Knight on the outside. This opens the door for Reed to pull Jimmy off the top and deliver a Death Valley Driver to him for the win.

Winners: Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed

– After the match, Breakker and Reed continue beating down Jimmy. Breakker runs the ropes and lands a spear on Jimmy, but Jey Uso's music hits and he takes out Breakker with a chair. He hits Reed with the chair and checks on Jimmy in the corner, but Knight sneaks up behind Jey with a chair. Jey spots Knight, causing Knight to drop the chair. Jey offers his hand to Knight, and Knight shakes his hand. Knight immediately surprises Jey with a BFT and heads to the back as the show goes off the air.
