The disappointing run at the box office for Steve Austin's debut film, The Condemned, ended on May 24. The final take was $7,371,706 domestically. Foreign box office (as of May 20) took in another $121,316, with $107,199 of that number coming from the Phillipines and the remaining $14,117 coming from Iceland.

All that's left now is the finger pointing over who is to blame for the flop. Vince McMahon blames Lionsgate, the distributor of the film, for failing to properly promote the movie. He has pointed out that the minimal advertising Lionsgate did failed to shine the spotlight on Steve Austin and as a result did not tap into the wrestling fan base that was familiar with "Stone Cold". While that may be true, McMahon fails to point the finger at himself for not having Austin make a live appearance on WWE programming to promote the film in the past several weeks. You would think WWE programming would be a pretty good way to reach Austin's fan base. WWE continued to push the film all the way to the very end, but did so with film clips and recorded interviews...not with a live appearance or storyline for Austin.
