Ice-skater Christopher Dean has said that he is struggling to recover from arm surgery, meaning that he may not be able to skate in the opening 'Dancing on Ice' show.

His skating partner Jayne Torvill is expected to skate on her own during next Sunday night's live show.

Speaking on 'This Morning', Dean said: "I will be coming back this year. I'm excited about all the celebrities we have this year. They've been great and I think they can outdo last year."
"I want to skate and am really keen to get back. But I have to listen to the doctors and physios who are telling me that I have to be cautious and it might be another couple of weeks until I'm fully fit."
