Arsenal's soon-to-be out of contract winger Robert Pires has revealed he will make a decision on his long-term future next week.

Despite having seemingly played his last match for The Gunners in Wednesday's defeat to Barcelona, the Villarreal target is poised for more talks with Arsene Wenger before committing his future one way or the other.

The Frenchman is still holding out for a two-year deal and hinted that The Gunners may compromise on the one-year offer they had originally made to the former Metz star.

That news would come as a major blow to Villarreal whose president Fernando Roig claimed on Wednesday that the signing of Pires was tantamount to a done deal.

The 33-year-old admits he could still join Villarreal but revealed that there are other offers on the table.

"It is true Villarreal have offered me a two-year deal - but I have three offers," Pires told The Sun.

"I will make a decision next week but I am not yet a Villarreal player - that's for sure."
