Not talking about PPVs I'm more referring to the main two TV shows, Raw and Smackdown.
I get that there's a lot going in the build up to Wrestlemania especially but this has bugged me for some time and it's only escalating now.
Last weeks Smackdown was a joke quite frankly. Now fewer than 8 "replays" showing us what we missed on Raw etc.
There were 5 or 6 on Raw this week as well showing us all about last weeks Raw.
When Smackdown was on free tv it made a bit more sense but it's not anymore. Both shows are on cable.
As someone who watches both Raw and Smackdown I really have little to no interest in the Friday supplement being chock full of what amounts to little more than "If you memory is so shit you can't remember a few days ago here's what happened on Monday"
It's fin and makes sense doing it on Superstars, like they used to do with Heat. A few lower card matches and the main storyline from Raw/Smackdown.
It's made worse when you tune in to the next episode of Raw and once again you get "Last week on Raw..."
On average anything of note that happens on Raw we end up seeing a minimum of 3 times and no doubt will be included in highlights packages during the PPV too most likely.
It isn't a wonder viewing figures don't usually pick up much of late as it's not really important if you happen to miss an episode of Raw because anything you might care about will just be shown to you again.
It can just as easily be covered with decent commentary and anyone who did miss it and didn't bother to tape it etc is tough frankly if they were that bothered they'd have watched it or watched Superstars to catch up.
